An aside from today - imagine being an Ipswich fan today.

It’s taking it’s time to gel there for certain.

What a dreadful game. Blame lies entirely with Wycombe. They have better players than two years ago but same boring tactics. A point is a point. Most weeks we'll play teams that actually play football.

Not at the game today.
But listening to everyone’s comments through the week, a draw and clean sheet against a side that would exploit our so called vulnerabilities is something to build on.
Just need to make better use of the sqaud

Only just checking in, knowing nothing of the game, quite pleased with a 0-0. Was very much fearing the worst. Doesn’t sound like I missed much though!

High Wycombe's play summed up by the 8 minutes added on for their time wasting - referee was too inconsistent today.

Thought both teams fouled to high heaven today. Ref didn't seem to care. Laughable that only one Wycombe player got booked iirc. Agree that our set pieces are woeful but when we do get a chance our headers are pants. Mcnally had a free header back post as an example.

I actually enjoyed that fact that they didn't score a undeserved winner in the 90+10 min. We showed a fight I was unsure we had after last week's game. How can a ref, any ref, simply let a team time waste by kicking the ball away so many times? Truly ridiculous.

At least we don't have to watch that every week.

Also a word of appreciation for Brannagan - was outstanding today, a privilege to watch players who show as much effort as him. Forde was excellent too, will be interesting who starts RB next game as Long looked a bit rusty.

Ainsworth has turned Wycombe into a comedy villain pastiche of a football team.

The thing is - you can see from their squad that they've seen some money from their year in the Championship. Vokes has 60+ caps and a dozen international goals. Stockdale was on the fringes of the England squad at his peak. Maybe he just plays well against us, but Anthony Stewart is the best central defender I've seen at this level the past five years (that didn't play for us). Jacobson looks like he has some ability.

They don't need to play cheating anti-football. With their talent level, they could play decent football and still be in the top half. But Ainsworth doesn't seem to know any other way.

As for us - there was a good 20 minute period in the second half, where Whyte, Henry & Sykes switched around a lot, and we played with some fluidity and looked dangerous. The Sykes "James Henry at Wembley" impression was the apex of that. But for the most part, we got dragged down to their level.

Still, good battling to ensure we at least came away with something. Now we need to get back in the win column against Cheltenham.

Happy to take that and move on, thanks, though we just about deserved a winner. Wycombe are if anything more cynical and hoofing than before, despite rumours of a change in approach. Our right hand side was very strong but Whyte doesn’t work on the left, I’m not sure who’d be our ideal player there - maybe I’d have put Williams on as he’s feisty. I thought Taylor played well and i wasn’t desperate to haul him off for Dan, much as I’d like to see more of him.

No idea why Henry is on corners again now from the right rather than Forde. Or free-kicks for that matter. Should be Forde all day long.

Good point but christ Wycombe really take advantage of a weak referee. Loads of moaning, niggly fouls and kicking the ball away. But for them it's effective and probably the only reason they're able to be at this level.
