I bet you wear a face mask while in the car, and call the police because your neighbours are seeing their family.

We have the right to boo, as much as they have the right to take the knee! This isn’t communist China. I don’t have to agree with every symbolic political gesture, and fall in line with the rest of the sheep when I don’t believe in something!

This has been done to death, but BLM doesn’t represent anti-racism, it represents an anti-white ideology and I am proud of who I am! I always will
So you’re a free minded individual but those who disagree with you are ‘sheep’?

id say change the name away from black lives matter and instead of taking a knee link arms around the centre circle or carry a banner with something like football against racism and see if people boo then.

What do you mean 'change the name'?

My beliefs are my own. Right or wrong, they are my beliefs. Im not so sure the same cannot be said for those that blindly obey, and clap along to any symbolic message that is put in front of them!

Too many are afraid to go against the grain, through fear of judgment. That sets a dangerous precedent for society. I would rather stand by my beliefs, than stand with the crowd, because that’s easier!

Who the f**k exactly are you to tell the players the reason they are taking the knee. They've told you why they are doing it. As a stand against racism.

If you boo someone standing up against racism you are a racist. I'll report you as well.

Firstly, I’m not referring to the players. I’m referring to the fans. Report me all you like. I couldn’t care less. I don’t agree with the political message that is undoubtably attached to taking the knee, and nothing you can do to say, will pressure me into changing my beliefs. Who the f**k are you to tell me anything?

I can appreciate that view. If you believe in something, state your reasons and defend them if necessary. More annoying are those who don't appear to have any coherent views and spend their time simply being 'anti' something.

One question.

All the PL players in the last domestic season took the knee under the belief that it was what they all believed in. Fair enough.

Why then, did certain PL players during the euros refuse to kneel?

Which one is it?

You’re either for it or against it..

I don’t like the concept of taking a knee one little bit. Its a further Americanising influence that jars me. We don’t need here and I wish we’d found another way to demonstrate our opposition to racism.

However we are where we are. Would I boo at footballers who do it to support their friends/teammates etc who are subject to revolting abuse simply because of their skin colour? No, I’m an adult who can distinguish between what I think and what matters to others. The act is far less important than the sentiment behind it. I am capable of holding my views quietly in this case because I can see a bigger picture in front of me. Booing because of what I think just undermines the sentiment and legitimises the online abuse I’m afraid.

Is BLM really a Marxist organisation? I’ve read a bit about this, and about whether it’s ‘anti-white’ or whatever and I’ve yet to read an unbiased article that actually makes a strong case for either claim. If someone has a link to something they think I should read then please post it up.

I was more angry about the pull on Saka at the time than the stamp on Grealish, Mrs M told me off for excessive swearing at the TV 😂 90th minute wasn't it, and he was clear. I'd have sent Chiellini off.
You weren’t alone in getting told off for excessive swearing at that point of the match🥲

It is my belief that those booing the taking of the knee do so because they are either racist, or want to appear cool to other racists! They are clearly ignorant to the wishes of those players who do take a knee and who have spoken with great maturity about the impact of racism on them.

Sadly, there's literally no point in arguing as they are too ignorant to listen and I just hope that the vast majority continue to drown out the few.
They need to be identified and banned from all football.

Some good points made there. The phrase Black Lives Matter is interpreted differently on both sides of the Atlantic, as are its political or non-political connotations. Booing (anything) just because you can is a rather dull activity.
