Manager/Coach Rumour: Robbo to Bournemouth?

Very true. Some people wouldn’t know s**t if they had a mouth full of it..
Dont get me wrong, Robbo is doing a decent job. Appleton built the best team ive watched in terms of ability, one auto promotion, two Wembley finals, and has Lincoln top having built an amazing team.

Yep. Put on over a stone during shielding
Don’t forget (and I mean this in a positive/friendly way) that eating healthily/staying active is the best way to strengthen the immune system to fight off all infections, including Covid-19. I know it’s not always easy/possible for everyone!
❤️ Stay safe

" Amazing "? Come back down to Earth. That's stretching it, even for you.

It is interesting how superlatives are used to describe other teams/ clubs ( the transfer thread is wonderful to see all of the fantastic players going to Bristol Rovers, Sunderland etc) and yet criticism and at a pinch grudging praise for Oxford. I can't say that I understand it.

Yeah, they’re going well this season but I would rather have Karl managing my club than Appleton.
They are similar in so many ways but I have to say, Appleton seems a more well rounded manager than Robinson to me.

You're not the only one to note that. If that Lincoln team was Oxford he would make out we don't deserve to be in that position!

"Everyone else is great and we are crap"

Appleton is obviously a talented coach, but he makes some very odd career decisions. Kitson obviously dislikes him, and claims that he (Appleton) constantly chases the money. Appleton has job hopped an awful lot, and the Leicester move was clearly for the cash. All he did after Leicester was professionally tread water for three years. I think he was West Brom u23s (?) coach when he got the Lincoln job. It will be interesting to see what he does if he gets Lincoln promoted. His career path suggests that he will leave for somewhere like Forest when that job comes up yet again. I read somewhere that Ferguson thinks he has wasted his managerial career by always looking for the next job.

But he's assembled an AMAZING team at Lincoln

Not even close. Just look at the amount of players that Karl has developed and sold on, to play at a higher level.

That came from MApp himself. He called Ferguson after being sacked from Blackburn for advice and got the hairdryer treatment! SAF criticised him for not doing his due diligence and wasting his opportunities on basket cases with uncooperative owners.

His departure from us was one part money and one part question marks over ownership. DE was keen to sell and couldn’t commit to the budgets so MApp walked. It was an admittedly canny move from a financial perspective to go to Leicester as a coach - low risk and a chance of a lucrative payoff - but another wasted two years when he could have been doing more work in the third or possibly second tiers. I don’t think he has quite learned from that SAF phone call. His head will be turned sharpish if anyone from the Championship goes looking for him.

If Lincoln go up and we don't then MAPP is ahead in my view.
If we both go up then its pretty close.
KR is better at bringing on young players, but MAPP is clearly a very good coach.
They both want their teams to play attacking, entertaining football and I feel lucky to have seen some terrific football in the past few years.

I’m bias. I think Appleton is a money chasing snake. Personally, I can’t stand him. His time at Oxford showed me that. I would rather Karl Robinson, any day of the week. Appleton will leave Lincoln at the first sign of money. Would Karl? I’m not so sure. Im doubting MAPP’s ability, I’m doubting his character. That to me, counts for just as much..
