HMRC?

I've been informed by a reliable source that OUFC have sorted the issue with HMRC (as in today)

haven't as yet got any written substantiation as yet though

Has your source indicated why matters were allowed to descend this far? HMRC will always come a knockin' at some point...

nope ....only that the HMRC 'issue' was sorted today
Sorted yesterday according to the OxMail - "....when contacted by the Oxford Mail, the U's confirmed the balance had been paid on Thursday afternoon."

I was informed it had been sorted now ....as the info broke today, I assumed it was today it was sorted, it certainly seems it was actually sorted yesterday. Main thing is it has been sorted :)

Maybe those nasty, sneaky, devious Oxvox types should be questioning HMRC as to why the erroneous information was still in the public domain despite the matter having been dealt with entirely YESTERDAY ... people want to know why OXVOX haven't been, questioning, haranguing and threatening HMRC over this already dontchaknow

AND while we're at it, I want to know why OXVOX have allowed a yellow snow warning to be issued for Oxfordshire this weekend, its officially springtime, so who do OXVOX think they are allowing the forecasters to predict snow, if OXVOX were doing their job properly they could stop it before it starts

I've heard it wasn't the Russians behind nerve agent attacks recently, it was OXVOX apparently

Send another 10 diplomats back to Russia plus half our first team squad

Just for clarity is it a? yellow snow warning or a warning for yellow snow ?
could ask Oxvox to clarify ....it appears Oxvox are to blame for everything, so 'they' should know ;)

if it is yellow snow, its probably best not to eat it:sneaky:

Threads like this are the life blood of football forums! Something is happening relating to HMRC and OUFC debt. No-one really knows what, so theories abound. Nowt wrong with that. Unfortunately, despite no-one knowing what's really going on, some are tempted to connect these theories to previous thoughts of other contributors about other topics, which may or may not be relevant to the HMRC story. All a bit daft.
Where's Oxbible when you need the real story?

Double maths I believe.

Petrifying that for whatever reason this was allowed to happen.

The eyes have been taken completely off the ball this year on and off the field as the focus has gone onto extracting as much as possible from the club as part of the sale.

We as fans need to keep our eyes on the ball now. Its a scary, scary time to be an Oxford fan.

I'm as out the loop as most, and have to go on instinct. But I dont trust Eales. His dealings with that educational trust where under scrutiny and Im perplexed as to why the club is yet to receive the money from Roofe etc. I just have feeling he's a little to cute. But hey, he has brought us on from Kassam days. That's not to say everything has been above board and proper though. Thank god the bill is paid. Supposidely.

Hi all

I’d normally send this sort of post to members by email first, but hope you’ll be ok that given the information revealed today (OUFC & HMRC), that a quick post on here was warranted.

This afternoon I messaged both Tiger and Darryl Eales for comment. I’ve not had a response from Darry (I understand he is out of the country), but I have had a telephone conversation with Tiger. He called me at 12.30am Thailand time.

Tiger said that he had been in a transition period and in reality still was. He said that there were some transactions that were being worked through and that this issue had been one of these. He said the HMRC issue had been settled and all was being put in place to ensure that sufficient funds are made avialable to run the club correctly.

Are the above comments from Tiger reassuring? ‘Yes’. However, do the comments require further scrutiny? Yes, of course they do and further conversations will take place in the coming days.

We will continue to seek further information and reassurances regarding the clubs financial position and future prospects - from both Tiger and Darryl Eales, who obviously still remains as a director and shareholder.

Although not providing significant ‘news’, I hope that you will see/accept that we are able to communicate with Tiger (at all times of day and night!) and that we are working to provide greater clarity for fans.

Note: Tiger is still of the firm belief that a new team manager will be in place next week.

Tomorrow is very important for OUR football club. Let’s get behind the players and do all we can to help them gain the points we urgently need.

Cheers

Jem

A polemic against the living bile-cub John Humphreys would not go amiss.

But I guess that would be stretching their current remit; perhaps it should be enlarged? AGM soon.
