EFL - The Covid-19 decision

KR was just on Radio 5 for a few minutes ( it was one sentence - ;) ) talking about the meeting today, getting back to training etc. Nothing really new, but I did think how nice it was that over the last few years we have become a club that is high profile enough for us to be one of the 'go to' clubs if the media want such stuff.

That line-up still leaves us with. Stevens, long, Mous, Thorne, Sykes, Kelly, Hall, Agyei, Makie and Napa. That's with Kelly ! anyone ITK with him ?
If they increase the number of subs we can use can we have more on the bench ?

9 subs on the bench I think

So are we getting a decision today, anyone know what time the vote is?

I think it's quite a lengthy process with discussions before 4 votes - a full EFL 71 club vote and then the 3 divisions separately.

I'd be surprised if an official EFL announcement is made before the end of "working hours" on the outcome. But I would imagine that some of the papers/BBC etc. will run pieces on what their "sources" tell them has been decided across the day and then the EFL react with a mid-evening/late night statement confirming everything together.

No point in rushing

They had a little interview with NM on the local news last night. He said the EFL meeting was at 10:30 this morning, then L1 were having their own meeting at 3pm. He said that by 6 - 6:30 this evening there SHOULD be some clarification

So if we were betting on it, the current likely outcome is:

Unweighted PPG to sort out positions.
Top two go up.
Next four play two legged (?) semi finals and a final at neutral grounds (?) for the final promotion spot.

Is that is?

That is my take based on the reports from Rotherham and Peterborough. The only one I don't know is whether they play 2 legged semi finals but suspect they will.

I think it would now be ridiculous to hold any finals at Wembley but I suspect they will still do this.

Free to air?
Doesn't say but, they have got them on an exclusive so we can hope. At the same time they are looking to recoup lost revenue from suspending payments for Sky Sports - saved a few quid over the last two months!

KR has said that weve got a game against ‘a championship team’ on Saturday if all goes to plan. Seems like pre-season is well underway.

Given that they only started training in small groups, still socially distancing, yesterday that seems very quick!

Yeah he said things are moving really fast - if all goes to plan, full contact traing from tomorrow then (I guess a ‘low contact‘?) game on Saturday.

Theres a little interview with Robinson from the training ground on ifollow.
