Five short and chuck in that Jones is as good as gone, KRs words post match last night, and with Henry potentially going too, then we are seven light.

Nearly a third short of the cap.

I get not giving Robinson money to waste after the last couple of windows but we have plenty of loan spaces available, we could bring in relatively cheap loans to bulk out the squad and provide cover/competition in areas we are light like CF/CM/DM?

The fact we are 5/6 short & are being asked to believe KR’s BS is beyond a joke at this point. I got shot down at the end of the transfer window for pointing out the rules & the fact we had registered players we didn’t have to, so to make it look like our squad was full when in fact it wasn’t. That is a sackable offence in it’s on right and it’s only the fact that the teams lower than us in this division are utter rubbish is the reason why we have got away with not having a full squad. This shows me the board have very little faith in KR going forward as if they did they would of given him the money to fill out the squad and/or Robinson just isn’t doing his job properly. Which if that is the case he should be removed as with a decent squad this season fully utilised we would have been up the top of the division I have no doubt. At least safely in the top 6. That we are not is the fault of one man, and that one man is Karl Robinson. He has had total control and messed it up. Now he must carry the can for it.

5 or 6 short players short. That's the question you'd like to think that Rad Ox and the Oxford Mail would put to KR with the deadline so close?

O'Donker and Goodrham have been amazing so far 👏 but it is not fair on them for KR to think they will change the game when brought on last night against such seasoned pros at Wycombe. And that's our problem and has been all season. 5 or 6 seasoned pros light.

KR goes on the defensive when Nathan Cooper even dares to ask a legitimate question about anything minor, heaven forbid if he was to ask a question about why our squad is full of youngsters & we are 5/6 players short. He did that & got spoke to like he was a piece of dirt on KR’s shoe about 2/3 months back, that shows the man KR is. His mask has slipped this season and we’ve seen it a few times publicly with his behaviour

Maybe KR does not have a say, maybe his hands are tied behind the scenes.

We don't know.

Let’s hope so.
Don’t let him spiff away any more money on old past-it injured or disinterested “vanity projects”.
Of course, it would be simpler just to move the man himself on……

Surely that’s got to be the case? I can’t believe a situation where the board asks “everything ok with the squad size Karl?” and gets the answer “yup. Nothing to look at here guys. All good” and every one just smiles and carries on.

Do you think Robinson wouldn't say if he wasn't being allowed to bring anyone in? Has he ever missed an opportunity to pass the buck before?

We aren’t 5 or 6 short. We have Joseph, GOD, and Tylr who are as good as older reserves would be. But we’re certainly a couple short, why aren’t we signing anyone? If the manager isn’t being backed then replace him.

We’re clearly short on numbers, but I think now this is much more about the board assessing how KR used the budget available to him and deciding (like a lot of us) that he hasn’t done a very good job.

To see players on big contracts such as Murphy hardly kick a ball, and Findlay relegated to bench, ageing players Taylor, Henry struggling with League One football. The purse strings have clearly been tightened.

In my opinion KR has been told he’s got to go with what he’s got, someone has to leave if he wants to bring in another player.

Our squad spaces allowed are 5/6 short Werthers. We’ve filled the squad to make it look like it’s stronger than it is, when in reality goodrham and odonkor don’t need to be registered and neither do the keepers., not part of the official squad anyway. Goodrham and odonkor aren’t ready to be playing week in week out for a promotion chasing side, they will be one day but they are not currently & our squad depth is poor for that reason.

We occasionally get someone in here saying about how we need to clear out the dead wood. But who is going to take the likes of Baldock, Henry or Murphy off us when they are contracted until 2024 and presumably each on a wage they're unlikely to get elsewhere?

Horrible to think that because of new contracts given presumably at KR’s discretion we are paying 3 players close to 15k a week to sit on their a**e and do nothing. Baldock would have been worth the risk had we brought another striker in if he was injured. Henry should never of been offered a new deal & everyone in football, even KR alluded to it when he signed him, that Murphy hasn’t really been Interested in football over the last few years. We’ve gone away from signing first team ready exciting young talent to ageing overrated players on inflated contracts

We need to sack Robinson, wait till he gets a new job then we should be able to offload those players to his new club, until then we are stuck with them.

Quite.

So whoever the new manager/coach is, the board and supporters will need to give them time and be patient. It’s quite a mess that Robinson has created and will take some sorting out.
