Also expect us to be signing some of their younger players especially if they get in the premier league.

I would expect some of the Welsh lads from other clubs possibly as well as he has been doing some work with some of the Wales age groups apparently.

It does. You can close your eyes and draw back the curtain. Any dream will do.

New terrace song - along t4he lines of:

I closed my eyes // drew back the curtain / to see for certain // what I thought I knew
FAr far away // the dawn was breaking // and the world was waking // I'LL ALWAYS BE A "U"

A cracking goal / a flash of light / the mighty U;s are out of sight
Opponents fading into darkness / we are not alone.......

May I return // to the beginning / when the side is winning / always be a 'U'

Its a tune everyone knows (Even if they pretend not to), so why not (with a few improvements to the words maybe)

Are jazz hands optional?

I can see this has some traction and I'm expecting a good turn out at our first rehearsal. As Bazzer has considerable musical theatre experience I've already had a word with him about a special role for him and I believe he is already working on producing his coat of many colours primarily yellow and blue. Morro's new words with a U's connotation are excellent and I'm hoping to further his songwriting skills. Our first rehearsal though will concentrate on Welsh hymnary. I am also working on a three part harmony version of "She Stood on the Menai Bridge at Midnight" the tune of which is eminently suited to a full throated choir of tenor and bass voices blended with a few altos. A couple of male sopranos wouldn't go amiss so if anyone out there has been castrated and can sing the upper register do let me know. Fun times ahead methinks.

My school auditioned for the choir to be in Joseph and the amazing technicolour dream coat. We got down to the final 3, and just missed out on performing along side Jason Donovan in the west end. True story, and the closest I’ll ever get to being famous.

I’m brilliant at the arhh arhhhhhhh’s if needed.

Not only am I a Joseph, I was also the main role in my year 6 production of it.

If you need my expertise you know where I am.

handy when opposition keepers are taking goalkicks then?

It would be true to say that, of late, the club has been somewhat becalmed. To use a seafaring term, down in the "doldrums". Perhaps this is the calm before the storm. Can the introduction of the new manager, allegedly, steer a rudderless ship to safer shores. We certainly need a new captain at the helm. With a fair wind and following sea we might be onto some good fortune. Have to say I am somewhat three sheets to the wind at the moment. This Kestrel Super does some serious damage!

Lyrics version II:

I closed my eyes // drew back the curtain / to see for certain // what I thought I knew
FAr far away // an Ox was braying // you can hear it saying // I'LL ALWAYS BE A "U"

A cracking goal / a flash of skill / the mighty boys from up the hill
Opponents fading into darkness / leaving just yellow (yellow and bluuuuuuuuue)

May I return // to the beginning / losing or winning / I’ll always be a 'U'
The world and I // no more waiting // for celebrating // I’ll always be a ‘U’

Well it’s better than that bonkers extended restaurant analogy someone used the other day, I’ll give it that.

I am happy if he comes in, on the basis that he isn't Sol Campbell, Alan Stubbs or Steve McClaren etc. I'm not sure that's the right attitude though.

Well I have to say that I'm amazed and extremely encouraged by the quality of the theatrical and musical talent that abounds on this forum. Never in my wettest (sorry, wildest) dreams did I imagine that it harboured such latent expertise. All we need now is for the cocky little Taff to get the job and we can get rehearsals underway. Further details to follow.

It’s the collective Can-Can across the back row of the East Stand during injury time which I always look forward to. Warms the cockles.

There is no one left in the back row of the East Stand at 90mins at recent games. Either car park or Blackbird.
