That was ducking brilliant we were so lucky second half but who cares we won the ref was s**t he was so one sided may aswel had a Sunderland shirt on

Think we've earnt a bit of luck after playing so well recently, what a win!!!!

We were out on our feet by the hour mark. I screamed until I was hoarse for subs as we were dying out there, and when the equaliser eventually went in I nearly exploded. Couldn’t believe we were so naive as to keep flogging the players and just let them on to us, as we dropped deeper and deeper and were clearly out on our feet. We should’ve lost after that.

....like I give a damn! ?
Yeah I agree. Great result, but in the cold light of day, that was a bit worrying. We've looked fit as fleas in every other game this year, so I don't really get why we looked like we were running through mud at the end there.

On the the way back to London, thought i would test the water on the back of those who think we should pander to the student luvvies to try and get them along. 3 of them near me so I proudly proclaimed OUFC have just qualified for the quarter finals of the league cup.

The look of disgust on their faces said it all, haha!

I think a lot of it has to do with how well Sunderland played. They had us chasing all over the pitch like no team has done to us for a long time.

Seems a suitably scientific survey

Thought our midfield struggled mightily second half, amazing result though my girlfriend was as invested in it as I was and my mate who hadn’t been in years loved the game, as I imagine all who don’t come regularly did, hopefully we’ll notice attendances increase in coming weeks

We defended too deep second half, I thought Sunderland were pretty decent tbf but maybe because we let them have too much of the ball. Best moment was Mackie’s challenge on their goalkeeper.

Well done OUFC
I couldn’t be there tonight but I’m looking forward to the quarter final and will definitely be going to be there ?

They missed some good chances 2nd half but so did we. Baptiste should have scored. Mackie should have hit the target. Their left back should have been sent off for persistent fouling. We missed brannigans energy and ability to bring the ball and team forward badly. Henry and baptistes ball control was poor and i dont think fosu had the best of games maybe due to not beeing fed by brannigan. Not having cadden also had a impact, especially his deliveries into the box. Long played well though in his place but isnt as good offensively as cadden. To grind out a result without a number of 1st teamers playing is a testament to our squad.

We’re in the Quarter Finals brilliant. Doesn’t matter if you have an off day like we did today, because we still got the job done.

Haway the Yellows

Home tie against Colchester would be lovely.
