The Loungers are going with the expectation of something to eat before and the drive home again after. (And probably more lane closures on the A34)
Other than that, hmmm. . .who knows?
A34 has/had no lane closures between Winchester and the first (Boars Hill) Oxford turn off earlier today.... though, at night Highways England seem to do what they like

Been checking again today, looks like we might make it through. Last time we got diverted off and ended up on the M4 heading towards Basingstoke!
Worst was the time the diversion took us via Andover! ? ? ?

Can’t be as bad as the Witney/ Carterton to Kassam bus a few years back on a Tuesday night ( may well of been the Millwall game). Coming home the bus reached the Hinksey roundabout and found the slip road onto the A34 closed. We turned around and straight down the Abingdon Road to the station. When we reached there, the driver realised the bus was too high to go under the rail bridge. Back on a tour of Oxford city Centre, we then proceeded back to Hinksey roundabout, turned south down to Abingdon and came off there. Then back heading North up the A34, by the time we reached Hinksey they had closed the road completely, so the bus had to come off and head over Boars Hill and up through Wooton. Down Cumnor Hill and then along the Eynsham Road. What a late night that was.

Now this is the truth , closing roads for fun at night! With no diversion in place , just a sign saying road closed! Been turned over like this many a time!

For some reason , feel good about this game! They will think it will be a walk in the park , KR gets the team right and could be game on.

Rotation sounds good on paper, but if Mackie is rested and Taylor isn’t fit, who plays up front? Similarly, we are going to presumably be spending a lot of the match defending, so if Fosu is rested/not risked and we don’t have a target man playing, what’s our outball? It would have been a perfect game for Agyei’s debut but that seems unlikely.

With that in mind, I’m not expecting a result tonight, but looking forward to hopefully seeing how a few fringe players get on, as well as Baptiste getting some minutes off the bench, which would be a big boost.

I would think that players would rather play than train. There all young and fit. Why you can’t play 2/3 games a week is beyond me. Pampered I think

I hate it when people say that rotating the team in cup games is basically giving up, and we might as well not even play etc!

1. Literally what is the point of having a squad then? There are more than 11 first team players.

2. Isn’t that totally disrespectful to the players people are talking about brining in? They should just give up football because any team with them in cannot win?

3. The so called ‘first team’ who we must play to have any chance of winning haven’t exactly done well against Burton or Bristol Rovers have they?...

I’d play:

Eastwood
Long Dickie Moore Berkoe
Mousinho Hanson
Sykes
Woodburn Mackie Forde
And look to bring on Thorne, Baptiste and Agyei.
