It looks like Oxford Mail are reporting similar figures so maybe we're fairly close. Personally I don't think it's too bad a deal. I don't think Whyte was ever worth £4m, nearer £3m in my view. So with the adds on we're pretty much there.

The real test will now be on how we spend the money and I think we'll be ok without throwing money away!

Doubt if it will affect whatever payment schedule is in place for monies owed. That aside it shows us in a good light to have so improved/given showcase to players that can only reap rewards on financial front for all.
 
wouldn’t surprise me if Tiger done a deal with his mate Vincent Tan just to get some money upfront for a poorer deal for OUFC
 
If we look at this business wise, he is potentially our all time 2nd/3rd record sale (behind Roofe 3m ish?, and Johnson 2.4m ish?) after only 1 season which included multiple gaps, injuries, international call ups and willygate! Timing is awful yet good business which come September 1st COULD be great business IF invested wisely. Should also give KR respite that no other departures are required this season to fit the 'model'. Good luck Gavin, with Warnock you may need it!!!!
 
It’s a great shame Gavin isn’t going to pull on the yellow shirt this season, but wish him good luck and thank him for some great performances in that shirt.
 
Good money I think for a player that we took a punt on a year ago. I think that people need to consider that Cardiff are also taking a bit of a punt on him at that money as well. It’s a big step up to go from effectively non league football to the championship in a year. Hope he does well but we move on as always.

It’s football. We move on. Let’s now bring in 3/4 even 5 new players and have a better season than the last...

But in all seriousness, good business and Moore looks very promising and at 6.5! Will be a mean bastard.
