Still not really sure how they are proposing a few thousand people get safely from the station and park & ride car park to the Triangle?

If it's just a bridge only going over the Oxford Road, as shown, then surely it means major work to existing footpaths, especially where they are part of the existing bridge over the A34.

The answer is obvious, let the progressive alliance put some big planters in the middle of the road and make it a LTN

It would be good to see the plans and what is proposed- the positoning of the suggested footbridge , although Im as in the dark as anyone else is, is , I guess, wont be likely to cross the Oxford road bridge over the A34, it'd more likely be roughly where the traffic lights are near the entrance to Parkway station / park and ride, or possibly crossing over Oxford road after the A34 road bridge ?

How can parking be a problem re the Triangle! Ever heard of multi story , at ground level a much higher headroom for Coaches and Busses ! As for traffic congestion, a one way system could be implemented an in opposite Train Station out on the ,is it Frieze way ! As for pollution , I'm sure the A34 traffic contributes a fair bit 7 days a week ! Of course then you have the Busses that already pick up a fair few supporters Abingdon,Witney and so on ! Most importantly, when you build housing developments what happens to the wildlife residents on that land, they move on ! What has Kidlington got to offer football supporters ,not a lot really but shops ,pubs and Sainsburys would they refuse serving hungry, thirsty, well behaved football supporters who would add lots of welcome trade ! Well Councillors Middleton and stable mates I ask you this question, why are you trying to hold Kidlington back from much needed progress, financially as stated above , and the land also stated above ,and of course the employment a new Stadium could provide!
No wonder a vote for or against the Stadium was a flop , 70% didn't vote , to me that is a no confidence vote for you Councillors! See ya!
Waitrose put another tier on top of their car park down here, in no time at all.

Yes, I'm sure it won't go over the Oxford Road where that goes over the A34.
It'll either be where you say (yellow in pic) or where it's shown in the image posted by waldensaffronyellow, (blue in pic).

Either position means major work to footpaths, including those on the A34 and railway bridges, I'd have thought. As you say would be good to see plans... in September...

I'd ask the question if I was going to one of the club info evenings.

These are only preliminary images to indicate how the stadium will look on the Triangle site. Further plans will be produced that will include vehicle access on to the site (emergency vehicles, team coaches, disabled parking etc) and access to and from the station and P&R. Expanding the pathways to provide safe and efficient pedestrian access will be part of that.

If Fosb don't want us building on the Triangle could we build on the area to the right of the roundabout looks a much better site and no additional bridges needed.

I hope that the plans include some sort of built in segregation for the away end Something similar to what Derby have, just a wider set of steps and a barrier. Don't want to be forced to reduce the capacity every game.
Yes hopefully the designers will ensure we don’t lose seats to segregation, maybe put the vehicle access tunnel and police control box on one side atleast to create a barrier.

Speaking of the design, will the club be asking supporters what they would like to see in the new stadium? I'm sure fans on here have some good ideas, maybe we should start a stadium suggestion box thread?

no reason why you dont get the ball rolling on a stadium suggestions thread @souporsumfin ..... here's hoping the club do ask for supporters opinions and input into the stadium, and stadium footprint design- and actually take on board some of the viable, workable ones. It would make a marked improvement to the poor communication so far from the current board

Whilst we're discussing placement of away fans at The Triangle - they should be put wherever they can least impact proceedings - especially the officials.

They currently have a really prime position in the North Stand (I appreciate it's logistically the best option) - crucially with a lino right in front of them. I'd be interested to see the stats but I can imagine the away side get a disproportionate number of decisions from that lino on the North-West side (we certainly try and impact the lino on South-East side).

Perfect example was the non-red for the marauding Bolton keeper this season. The ref bottled it, but I think the lino did too. You'd have expected the lino to be frantically waving and I can imagine with home fans behind them they may well have done.

If you can't stick away fans in the sky (Sunderland style) then a corner is preferable. Even directly behind the goal is better than what we currently have - almost a whole half of the length of the pitch.

And if you are going to stick away fans on the side - please at least make it the 'non lino side'.

Finer details of course, but all competitive advantages we should utilise and factor into our plans.

Yes good idea start a stadium suggestion. thread.
*MEANWHILE* Back to the rumblings on on neighbours 😂Screenshot_2023-05-20-09-45-59-26_a5e8fe7543e41cfbc6cdd74088af5b74.jpgScreenshot_2023-05-20-09-46-13-01_a5e8fe7543e41cfbc6cdd74088af5b74.jpgScreenshot_2023-05-20-09-46-51-67_a5e8fe7543e41cfbc6cdd74088af5b74.jpgScreenshot_2023-05-20-09-47-22-94_a5e8fe7543e41cfbc6cdd74088af5b74.jpgScreenshot_2023-05-20-09-47-44-88_a5e8fe7543e41cfbc6cdd74088af5b74.jpgScreenshot_2023-05-20-09-48-11-37_a5e8fe7543e41cfbc6cdd74088af5b74.jpgScreenshot_2023-05-20-09-48-39-60_a5e8fe7543e41cfbc6cdd74088af5b74.jpgScreenshot_2023-05-20-09-49-27-75_a5e8fe7543e41cfbc6cdd74088af5b74.jpg
