National News National Lockdown coming

Oxfordshire is classed as South East, but we are in T2, would these new restrictions apply to us?
When they say south east , in this case I think they mean London, Kent etc rather than Oxon. Wouldn't be surprised to see an increase up to Tier 3 in many Tier 2 areas though...

there arent that many Tier2 areas in England - and even fewer Tier 1 ( though Tier 1 Hereford bordering Tier 4 Wales was, I though a strange one to announce mid-week... an invitation of sorts to go drinking in England for some of the Welsh?)

Edited whilst you were posting.

But in any planning thing we are south east?
Television wise-

Itv have never been sure have they?- regional 'local' ITV programmes have been Central (midlands) Central South (south midlands) and more recently Meridian ( Southampton, Bournemouth, Pompey, Brighton , Reading, Oxford and Crawley etc)

BBC was , still is ( albeit reduced) BBC Oxford, ( covering Oxford, Swindon, MK areas) though 'lumped in ' BBC South- similar to some of ITV Meridian territory

One National one make Scooter organisation

Vespa club of Britain originally had Oxford/Oxon in their Central region, they then reorganised, putting Oxford/ Oxon in their Southern region, ... from Feb this year Oxford?Oxon is in the VCB south Midland region ( which includes Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire and Northants - as well as Oxon

Outsiders really don't have a clue- geographically, Oxon IS in the South Midlands (IMO)

So this is the government website saying we are South East?

visit south east england dot com, would want gods county included in their area though wouldn't they?

I think Oxon should be declared as the republic of Oxfordshire ;)

Looking like a new Tier 4 for London, Southeast and the East with a "stay at home" message, possibly back by law, so Christmas there will be cancelled as Christmas Bubbles will only be allowed in tiers 1-3.
We are classed as south east. If they go to tier 4 then surely lockdown all but in name so surely football should be cancelled?

If T3 is not football then T4 will.
But if you can’t travel between tiers then they chocks cancel, if the new strain is mutating faster than previous thought then the government have to, in a Bono fan or was until his recent handling of the virus ie not acting fast enough and relaxing for 5 days over Christmas

...and ( no surprise) Bojo is late with his announcement
( does he run on the same/ or a similar 'time' as Tiger? )

As said above I think it will be London and the immediate surrounds obviously such as Kent, Essex etc.

But Oxfordshire have tier 4 North. South and east of us, just surprised we weren’t moved to tier 3
