I haven't posted for a while, as I couldn't think of anything positive to say, and didn't want to fuel the negativity, but I've had enough of Karl Robinson.
Throughout the first season and a half, I thought he was arrogant, stubborn and pig headed, completely naive tactically, and a self obsessed ego maniac, with verbal diarrhoea, quick to blame ANYONE and ANYTHING but himself for our bad performances and defeats.
However, over the course of last season, I'd warmed to Robbo, he seemed to be learning from his mistakes, rectifying them, and putting the team before his ego, and it was reflected in the performance of the team last season, and I was happy when he signed his new contract, but now I'm wandering how much of that was actually down to Fazackerly?
Maybe that's what someone like Robbo needs, a calm, experienced head alongside him, to stop his ego getting out of control?!?
But now Faz has gone, and Robbo has returned to his old, arrogant self, refusing to accept his mistakes, refusing to bring in players we all know we desperately need, insisting on bringing in players we don't need, who are not good enough, totally unfit, and inexperienced, and refusing to drop players who are under performing, or play players in their best positions.
I'm convinced he reads this forum, as there's no way he can't see what we all can, he just doesn't want to admit he's wrong, so will blindly carry on doing what he wants, and on the rare occasion a result goes our way, he starts blowing smoke up his own a**e, with an "I told you so, I was right" attitude.
We've all been saying how Clare is awful at right back, but could be useful further forward, but Robbo repeatedly ignores this fact for weeks, then eventually plays him further forward, and Clare then has a great game, so the next match, Robbo drops him from the squad all together?!?
The guy has virtually no tactical awareness or nous. Forde and Mous were clearly needed in the 2nd half today, but Robbo decided to be a smart-a**e, and put players on with zero defensive abilities, and then threw them under the bus after the game, once again deflecting any responsibility away from himself.
People may disagree, but I think it was Robbo who cost us promotion in the playoffs, when he left Mous on the bench throughout the whole playoffs. Mous was one of our outstanding performers all last season, and was fit, but Robbo played Moore, leaving us without Mous's leadership skills and experience, and it cost us.
He still clearly hasn't learned from those kinds of mistakes.
The fact he won't comment on Eastwood, proves he is too arrogant, stubborn and pig headed a person to admit his mistakes, and will never have any kind of success until he does.
He needs to show some maturity and humility, and accept he's made a pigs ear of recruitment, tactics and team selections, otherwise his ego is going to be HIS and OUR undoing this season.
