Just saw the Whyte miss on the sky highlights. Jesus wept we’ve missed some chances this season. I’m sure everyone will sharpen up over the next month or so.
Whyte got himself into the right place to get those chances, he will start putting them away - let’s not forget he was played out of position again. He will come good and is very much someone we should be playingOur centre forward scored. You want to get a winger in to replace Whyte who apparently missed a sitter?

Whyte looked good at times but also a bit lost/aimless behind the front three, and definitely doesn’t suit playing on the left. He knows how to play on the right. He likes playing on the right (I think).Professional footballers can only play in one position apparently!!!
Scotchers, I like your optimism and wholehearted support of the team, KR, and the board, but if you keep on sniping at people you're going to be known as Charliesegg soon. There's little doubt that players like playing in a certain position, which isn't to say that they can't play in others. They just may not be as effective.
That miss from Whyte wow how did he miss it so badly he literally just needed to put his foot through it never mind we go again im sure Whyte will score soon
I wonder who’s turn it will be next Saturday last week winnall this week Whyte
Don't even say that in jestRob Hall after signing a pay as you play contract?!
Last Tuesday they all got a bye thenThat miss from Whyte wow how did he miss it so badly he literally just needed to put his foot through it never mind we go again im sure Whyte will score soon

And then of course you get the smart Aleks who like to commentate and critique everyone else.Well it’s been more than four hours since the game finished and all I’ve really learned from this thread is that some people are apparently too negative, that the best way to counterbalance that is to be negative about them (quite often before anybody has said anything what so ever to require anybody having a pop to begin with, which actually sets the negative tone more than anything else), and apparently Gavin Whyte should have scored. Not even a decent remark about how he should’ve swung his cock at it instead of his boot.
This place is becoming increasingly dull.
You’re obsessed with positions being just where they stand on the pitch, but it’s more than that. I was actually defending Gavin Whyte; saying that maybe his game was generally off because he was playing in an unfamiliar role. Put a player in a position he doesn’t feel comfortable in and, when the time comes, if his game is off, he may miss. It’s not just about where they happen to be standing on the pitch when the chances come! (Like when Dan Agyei scores as a striker and you try and say that because he cut in from a wide position it shows he’s just as good playing as a winger - there’s a bit more to it than that!)No one can honestly blame Gavin Whyte's miss on his starting position. He actually came from an inside right position into the middle of the goal, and would have been in exactly the same place had he played in his preferred position or just off the front two as he did today.
"...let’s not forget he (Whyte) was played out of position again." That's trying to put the blame on the manager and is ridiculous.
Yes, I respond to what some post and I'm sure it winds some up. But the constant negativity is draining and there has to be some counter balance!
Only if we can have Dan through the middle!!You’re obsessed with positions being just where they stand on the pitch, but it’s more than that. We’ve just lost in a game we really should have won - as a fan, I’m disappointed. I don’t see why that’s so incomprehensible to you. But I don’t want to argue, let’s just agree to disagree and hope we get a win on Tuesday (with Cooper on the left and Gavin on the right )

However yes it would be good to know how some players did - Forde, Winnall? Sounds like Jack wasn’t so great which is probably not a bad thing at this time.Well it’s been more than four hours since the game finished and all I’ve really learned from this thread is that some people are apparently too negative, that the best way to counterbalance that is to be negative about them (quite often before anybody has said anything what so ever to require anybody having a pop to begin with, which actually sets the negative tone more than anything else), and apparently Gavin Whyte should have scored.
