21 year old who’s mobile, physical and on track for double figures in L1 this season. On a long term deal. You’d like to think he’d kick onto being a 15-20 goal striker at this level in the next 12-24 months, by which time he’s worth double what we paid and more.

None of that matters though, should have spent £400k on a loan fee and got someone’s who’s fully match fit today. They’ll probably be replacing Harris off the bench during this purple patch anyway, but still.

He will NOT rest until he has quoted and commented on every single post in this 177 page uber-thread. Strap yourselves in folks - it's going to be a long night.
I've heard Mrs bazzer is in for a new keyboard this transfer window to take the strain off the current one.

f**k me guys, never seen a more negative reaction to a signing...

He's a striker ✅
He's not over the hill tick ✅
The club has actually paid a fee for him ✅
Cautious optimism I'd call it. This was the big one that we all wanted and it's a shame to see it come with an all familiar caveat. Say what we like about Harris, he isn't perfect, but boy are we fortunate that he is in such good nick and can play to a decent level as often as he does. You can pick all kinds of holes in his game but crikey, he'd have carried that position alone for nearly 6 months by the time Goodwin can chip in. Hope he has a good holiday booked.

I'm happy with Goodwin coming in - it's just we need another striker *now*. Scenes if Harris goes off injured tomorrow.

Mark Harris has scored 4 goals in his last 3 games; he's finally hit a hot streak after three-plus months of struggling in front of goal.
There is no way we're not starting him for the next couple of games up front, just about regardless of who we bring in.

Yes, it would be nice to have a better option off the bench, and yes we will have to move quickly to sign someone else if anything happens to Harris this week......

......but it's better to have a quality striker that we're excited about who's likely to be ready to come in and lead the line in February.

That being said, we could do with another fit winger in the building asap.

So... If he's out injured for a month, but then spanks in a tidy 10 goals for us by the end of the season... Will you lot be applauding the recruitment team as vigorously as you're lambasting them?
He has to get match fit first so at least half way through February where we could drop 15 points

What’s wrong with people. Did any
of you see the Cheltenham game, Goodwin was very very useful.

Great signing, sure, little bit of jeopardy about it, but spare me the old nags with a name coming for a last nose bag. That way leads to mediocrity.

COYY.
Yes we did we we there but that was a couple of months ago but now we won’t know how useful till possibly mid February at the earliest hope Harris doesn’t get injured…..ah but that’s ok we’ve got GoD

Maybe the club would have been better off donating £400,000 towards a more durable keyboard that doesn't have a problem putting a Shift in?

We definitely need another striker through the door urgently.

We’ve got a busy January fixture wise, and we don’t want to be adding to the already crowded treatment room.

I can understand posters frustration, but it’s a young player that’s an old school type of forward. It also one we’ve needed for along time, so we need someone else in that can hit the ground running.

I’m fine mate but at least 15-18 points available and he’s injured
I get it Bazzer. Being an Oxford fan you /we can't but help having some injury anxiety given the last few seasons but you are going a bit OTT on this! Let's just wait and see when he comes back!
