With Beadle it could be that if today was a league game he'd have played even if Brighton are reviewing if they move him to a Championship club during this window. Obviously with it being FAC they don't want him cup tied if there is any chance of him going elsewhere.
That would be a reason why there wasn't and couldn't be any announcement from either us or Brighton that he'd been recalled.
If this is the position then the OUFC line could simply have been "Brighton have refused permission for James Beadle to play in this FA Cup tie" - same scenario as Fin Stevens for the first round tie.
He is already cup tied as he has played in previous cup games

This is the problem with the loan system, clubs like ourselves are pretty much at the mercy of the bigger clubs. Having said that everyone understands that once they agree to a season long loan. It works both ways though, we could have been stuck with Perkins all season but luckily we’re not. The injury crisis we seem to have does seem to come round at our club almost every season, I think Des mentioned something about looking into everything behind the scenes when we first started to pick up these injury’s has anything come of that? I’m not going to start blaming individuals as there’s enough rubbish being spouted today without me adding anything to it.

Back to the transfer talk there’s no way Plymouth are paying 2m for Moore. Beadle looks to be off but it is what it is, get a replacement in and move on. We all knew what we needed before a heavy defeat to a quality championship team, barring a freak injury to Stan Mills that hasn’t changed.

The only thing that is far from acceptable is the lack of a no2 for Des still, can’t help but feel he’s been well and truly hung out to dry by the powers that be. If he’s identified who he wants and we’re in talks with his current employers then get that deal wrapped up ASAP as Des needs all the help he can’t get right now.

He's already cup tied since he played the previous round against Grimsby. He's off and we need to find a replacement sharpish.

Didn’t he play against Grimsby so is cup tied anyway

Edit: didn’t see the other comments!

Its the same every transfer window. We are always slow out of the blocks it’s the OUFC way.

Sorry, thought of Maidenhead but forgot about Grimsby... I'm blaming how bloody cold it was that day for banishing it from my mind!! :O

This Board, Adam Benson, Fergie and Williams have yet to bring in the assistant to Des, despite him having been here for 7 weeks.

What on earth gives people the confidence that they’ll get the playing recruitment right?

Perhaps people need to refocus their attention. We could have an A1 transfer window and get promoted. Unfortunately, with TW & GF in place it’ll not matter a jot, as there is no infrastructure being built behind the scenes to build this football club.

There is discontent all over the place.

Why aren’t people asking more questions of those in charge?

Because those that do get labelled as negative. Even when it is crystal clear that something is very wrong.

It's almost gaslighting "no you did not see that we played abysmally, negative man" "just because the club haven't brought in replacements for people who departed 7 weeks ago, doesn't mean there's anything wrong, you moaner"

This isn’t just an issue at playing level.

Think bigger.

Oh I am. The radio silence genuinely tells it's own story. People like Tim would not hesitate in blowing the trumpet if things were going well.
He has already been blowing the trumpet on how OUFC has some of the best fan communication in the EFL, he based this solely on the supporters panel. Meanwhile OxVox and the rest of us unworthies are left scratching our heads with no answers to some hugely important questions.

Those on the supporters panel, are you here, can you shed any light, have you been asking these questions and what were the responses from Tim "best communication in the EFL" Williams?

Blackburn fan with some loose Oxford ties in peace!

Heard yesterday you are signing Harry Leonard our young striker on loan. He came off the bench and scored in the cup yesterday, with the plan being to go down to Oxford today.

He has 3 or 4 goals in the championship this season, appearing in most games split as starts and off the bench.

Fairly surprised we are letting him out, although we are expecting incomings and injury returnees. Looking forward to following him, with a bit of confidence I think he will do very well in league one.

Hope you’re right, but we’ve heard this before a few times!!

It's autocratic in approach.

A carefully vetted and selected fan panel will tow the party line, possibly even being advised on the work it undertakes and information it gathers (it's too white as well, but that's an aside).

This has given the club and excuse to disregard OxVox as it 'already has the supporters' panel', and in doing so, stripping its ability to arrange fan forums and asking direct, difficult questions to the ownership.

We should be demanding the arrangement if a fans' forum at all costs. Perhaps it's time the customers started voting with their feet?

Would be a decent addition. Only started twice in the Championship since back from injury at the end of October.
