Seriously, we signed Goodwin who has similar credentials and sell on potential for less than 1/2 a million so why would Tyler be worth that much?

On the other hand, why would we sell Goodrham for an amount that isn't particularly meaningful for us - when the owners are already committing £2m a season to enable us to run a wage bill that is way beyond our means, why on earth would we want to sell one of our most valuable assets for a comparatively minor sum? Especially when that player has literally just signed a contract committing themselves to the club long-term.

Anyone who thinks Goodrham is worth £4m needs a visit to the madhouse.

£1.2m absolute tops and most of that you’re buying potential. He’s done nothing yet.

Don't disagree that that £1m is probably approximately his current market value......but I wouldn't sell him for that.

He's contracted here long term, and that sort of money is not going to move the needle for us given the size of our current financial black hole.

Anyone wants him, I would make them pay way above market rate, or no dice.

We got in the region of 2 million for Luke McNally.

Plays in a different position of course, but I suspect the fee would be a little less than McNally.

A lot of it is about the perceived potential of the player.

Straight away that has wrong information in it since Bristol City can’t sign any of our players until Jan next year!
I suspect if Bristol C put in a high enough offer we’d listen. Whilst they can’t poach any players I’m sure we’d listen if they out bid other clubs? We’d be silly to turn down a very high offer if it was more than others were prepared to pay

What, was that goal worth about £2.8m on his value ? Ridiculous.
You are one of those that thought Tyler should be on loan at Slough or something....the kid scores goals ....important goals and has a bit of magic about him.
A million is nothing , seriously he could well go on and be a premier league regular and we really should be going all out for 3/4 Million instead of a piddling amount.

An attacker would maybe go for more? I'd hold on for more than that from Southampton or similar, I can just see him scoring off the bench for them in the PL.

Baldy: £1.2m for an improving 20 year old winger with 6 goals and a few assists in 1,350 minutes is the absolute max we could get.

Also Baldy: £500k for a 29 year old striker who's got 5 goals and no assists in 1,600 minutes, had a couple of serious injuries and not hit double figures for half a decade - bargain.

Someone give Ed his number.

I don’t agree, hold on to him he will go to a bigger club for more I would be looking at 3 million plus

You genuinely think Goodrham is a £4m footballer ? If we had an offer for half that it’d be a race to see who can get to the Kassam quick enough to transport him to his new club. £4m !!!!!! He’s nothing like. What are you seeing to think he’s worth that ?

£1.4m I think McNally went for.

Tyler isn’t going anywhere, so everyone can relax about that. In the summer that could be a different story. We will sell him, because that’s what we are “a selling club” we have protected ourselves by offering him a long term contract. He’s getting better, and still has lots to learn. He goes missing in games from time to time, but he scores crackers too.

Potential ....and the money players go for because of that. He scores goals, a match winner.
Mental to sell at first opportunity for a paltry million.

Goodrham has scored 8 goals this season.
So as a twenty year old he is playing plenty of games and scoring goals.
He has huge potential, and there seem to be a lot of clubs looking at him.
I reckon in the summer £1.5 to £2m plus asell on clauseis a possibility.
I can't see why we would sell him for less than that.
