Assuming everything is straightforward of course. Which we don‘t know.Yes, we all do, we see it every week with managerial appointments

But isn’t that a failing of our own recruitment? How high should we as fans be setting the bar for this Assistant who has taken 2 months to bring in?Assuming everything is straightforward of course. Which we don‘t know.
We don‘t know if anyone or anything has failed, do we? It’s all guesswork. But isn’t that a failing of our own recruitment? How high should we as fans be setting the bar for this Assistant who has taken 2 months to bring in?
From what Jerome said a while ago we basically paid roughly the same money we got in compensation from Bristol City for Manning which got spent on bringing Des in.On what basis? We have just forked out an (allegedly) decent sum of money for Des, Which was a statement of intent. We've been linked consistently to players that will command either a fee or a decent loan fee. We'll have gained wage room from Mills, Beadle and (Edwards?) As well as anyone else surplus to requirements that will go. We're seven days into the window and we're in a good space to go up if we have a good window. And any off the pitch problems I can't see making a dent in our playing budget. I will hold my hands up if you're right at the end of the window but I can't see it.
Why do we need a clear out?Midtable, Clearout in the summer, start again in August, IF we were to go up with this lot we will do a Wycombe come straight back down again, the whole club is in turmoil and wants sorting out sooner than later, we have no idea whats going on, nobody is telling us anything, time us supporters were told what the hell IS going on.
Which they still didnt have to do if they were cutting back. From what Jerome said a while ago we basically paid roughly the same money we got in compensation from Bristol City for Manning which got spent on bringing Des in.
Isn’t it a failure of the process for it to take 2 months to hire an Assistant manager? How good would they have to be to justify that wait?We don‘t know if anyone or anything has failed, do we? It’s all guesswork.
Exactly.Isn’t it a failure of the process for it to take 2 months to hire an Assistant manager? How good would they have to be to justify that wait?
Sure but Manning brought in Perkins and Edwards ( and Woltman), in one transfer window ( plus Leigh) who have hardly played a lot if football. It does happen.Counter that. Baldock, Browne, Wildshut. Hardly kicked a ball between them.
I can’t answer that. It might not even be that they’re that good that we’ve had to wait though, it could be any complication or reason, perhaps we’ll find out. Perhaps we won’t.Isn’t it a failure of the process for it to take 2 months to hire an Assistant manager? How good would they have to be to justify that wait?
The only practical reason would be a work permit for someone from abroad?Isn’t it a failure of the process for it to take 2 months to hire an Assistant manager? How good would they have to be to justify that wait?
A genuine question.Exactly.
It all suggests Timmy and co are either being too blasé and unconcerned about the situation, or that they're trying to be too clever, and are over complicating the whole process.
Either way, they're making a f*****g pigs ear of it.
And you know that it’s only one of those two reasons for sure do you?!Exactly.

They are good League 1 players, well not sure about Thorniley his lack of pace is worrying. But only Brannigan is Championship ready. The rest have severe technical or attitude weaknesses that will consign them to League 1.Why do we need a clear out?
Leigh, Brannagan, McGuane, Harris, Moore, Ruben, Brown, Thorniley, Goodrham all good enough to be part of a championship squad.
Yes we would need to rebuild to an extent but that was always going to be the case after Robinson left. It wasn’t ever a quick fix.
Expectations just went up a notch due to the excellent start we had to the season. Realistically we are still are a work in progress side but a lot further a head than we were at the start of the summer.
Is it them making a pigs ear of it? Surely it’s up to Des to appoint his assistants…Exactly.

But surely you can see that that was a severely, severely handicapped oxford United side yesterday? It was hardly the side we wanted to put out. They are good League 1 players, well not sure about Thorniley his lack of pace is worrying. But only Brannigan is Championship ready. Playing Coventry showed how far from the Championship this team really is.
No clear our but we are way short of a Champonship club both on and off the field,
Compare and contrast Coventry's development to ours over the past 3 years. The difference is quite staggering.
We are 7 days into 2024 and that is the worse take I think I’ll see all year.Midtable, Clearout in the summer, start again in August, IF we were to go up with this lot we will do a Wycombe come straight back down again, the whole club is in turmoil and wants sorting out sooner than later, we have no idea whats going on, nobody is telling us anything, time us supporters were told what the hell IS going on.
