Jerome gives his thoughts

Well said and with the emotion taken out of it I think most fans will agree with pretty much everything. I think the players could manage themselves for the game tomorrow, of course you need someone to deliver the pep talks and Short & Co will provide that, but I think there will be a real determination within them to not let this slip and I wouldn't be surprised to see us convincingly put Orient to the sword with a convincing win - 4-0.

80 plus applications apparently:

There was always going to be massive interest. What a great opportunity for someone to work with quality players, and surroundings. Plus also get a promotion on their cv. I expect a large percentage are actually currently employed.

I imagine Dean Whitehead will be one of the 80 or so who have applied. Not sure what age he is but if he's got aspirations to be a manager then you'd think that has to happen soonish. Currently assistant at Watford. Wouldn't be high on my list though.

For what it's worth, Paddy McCarthy's odds have come down. Now favourite with BetVictor.

The problem with Terry is the same as Manning. The first sniff from above and he’d be gone like a shot.
As would almost every manager with ambition. It would be bad for us but there is very little loyalty in football anymore.
Money talks, simple!!
