‘Isn’t keen’ could mean different things. He might have said ‘I’m not keen on the drop down I think I’m good enough for the championship but if it happens I’ll give it 100%’ or alternatively he might have said ‘I’m not keen, f**k ‘em, I’m way too good for League One’. Either way I trust Manning to make the right decision.
Of thats what he is thinking then he can jog on. If he’s that good how come there doesn’t seem that much interest for him maybe he does have baggage? Then no thanks

Poor Tyrone Barnett. Must’ve been terrifying
Hee was after him tight uo toll the start of the season before he came he returned in January but Appleton was after him and it seemed no one else in the end he didn’t come.
I don’t believe any manager who is after a player and that player makes it pretty obvious they don’t want to play for us should then move on and f**k em

Gavin Whyte would give us more options. Has to be a good signing even if we can do better.
There will certainly be a clear out of some of the players who underperformed last season…,he has to better than them.
Our team is looking much stronger with the signings we have already made. I’d like to think we will finish towards the play offs and hopefully a good strong run in to seal a place in the championship.
With all the speculation going on it is an exciting time to follow Oxford, but I’m not sure so many of the ex players talked about returning here is a step forward

They are but so are we. I think he would be as likely to come here as he would be to go there honestly. He knows quite a few of the lads here already and he’s loved by the supporters. Would be a massive feel good signing.

People were saying the same about Michael Appleton.

I hope we are looking at the best players that Liam Manning wants rather than aiming for popular signings with the fans, especially as some don't have an in-depth knowledge of footballers based on the number of former players or former MK players that are suggested on here.

Gavin would be an asset because of the amount of goals he created the last time he was here, he’s creative and he also has pace. Which we lack.

I believe Pompey are in for Gavin Whyte.

Im sure with Mous as their manager they must be favourites to get him.

However it depends on how much he will get and the length of contract(This applies to all players of course)

Personally I would take him back, his effort levels are really high and he does create chances. One of the reasons Matty Taylor’s goals dried up was because of the hard work and creativity of Whyte Sykes and Williams.
I think Portsmouth are favourites to sign Aaron Nemane who hasn't taken up a new contract offer at Notts County
Would they take Whyte too?
Maybe I suppose

First time around, Whyte was lightening fast. Average League One CB-terrifying fast.

By the second time around, a few years older and a bit more worn down, I thought he was just brisk. Maybe quicker than your average League One winger, but the absolutely electric pace wasn't there any more.

Still a good passer and crosser of a ball, and a very decent player - but not someone uniquely talented that we need to go nuts about signing (or if Pompey sign).
