Manager/Coach KREXIT: The 'Robbo Out' thread.

Serious question - does anyone actually think that calling for Robinson to be given the bullet has any influence on the decision of the board?

I appreciate it's cathartic, but do people actually believe that typing a list of obvious failings (over and over again in some cases) will actually spur on his dismissal?
Its therapy.

Lots of anger and disappointment here, which I get. But where is the curiosity? The whole situation is totally bizarre. We’re only in September and have to play James Henry and the reserve centre back as wingbacks , whatever they are? WTF has gone on?

Injuries, some unfortunate, some you could of predicted combined with a squad that seems to have been put together with not a lot of thought, no real plan has left us with a squad that you are going to struggle to get a coherent first eleven from on the rare occasions when everyone is fit, let alone the normal situation of a few players out. Add in Robinson has fallen out with a couple of his own recent signings thus giving us a tiny squad and you have the recipe for the s**t show that has been the start to our season.

No, but if this forum isn’t for talking about the ups and downs of Oxford United football club what is it for?

It's not for me to say. Just remember that the players and staff all have lives away from the game and the club.
That’s not the issue we were useless today and got beaten by a team we should have beaten, so now fans and a dam site more than yesterday are calling for KR to go and your saying give him slack they all have lives away from the game and club.
Sorry but that don’t cut it they’ve been seagulls all season so far and the frustration from the fans is evident. Sorry but he has to go.

Of course, but I don't think many employers would drop an employee who has shown great loyalty and leadership in dark times at a time when maybe that personal loyalty and support needs to be reciprocated. Most employers have some empathy and humanity.

The bloke is marmite, I get that. I think he has taken far too much on his own shoulders and that is as much his fault as any one else's. But right now we are still four points off the play offs with 10 games played. The fact that we are as pissed off as we are about the start of this season shows how far our expectations have come under MApp and KR.

I think he has earned enough credit over the past few years to at least give him until January. If I were on the board I would be telling him that he needs to get a DoF in whether he likes it or not and that he should review one or two of the staff he has around him. Regardless, I think we need to show him some loyalty right now.

Without doubt the performances have been poor so far, but we aren't shipping lots of goals and we have half our team out. History has shown we will come good. If we fall short again or come January there has been no improvement, then it really is time to start asking questions. Until then I'm giving KR the benefit of the doubt.

This is a results job not a sentiment job. Most employers no matter how long and loyal you’ve been to the club if you’re not performing you’re sacked…….quite simple really he hasn’t performed .

That applies to everyone who has a job though, we all have to get on with whatever we are paid to do even if life is s**t outside of it.

If it’s something so serious that it’s affecting his job here then action needs to be taken, not just let the situation carry on.

His twitter makes interesting reading, from his time at Charlton. #happykarl.
Claims he should've been given the England job after Big Sam sacked.
One January, he quotes as saying he was pleased "the month of no signings identified by me" - aka Jamie Hanson scenario??
"It took a grand in a Brown envelop, but never mind, well done the ref #happykarl Refs want more in London compared to Milton Keynes
As manager of Charlton, makes derogatory comments in his feed regarding the wife of the Club Secretary, after she had gone public about the fans attitude towards something.

I’m beginning to feel I’ve been a seagull for too long,

Look, I'm not saying our recruitment hasn't been poor over the summer. It has in some areas, but where we are most deficient at the moment is in attack. Henry and Bodin lack pace and are past their best. Murphy has scored about a goal every four games when playing left wing in his career, mostly in the Championship. Taylor has scored 20+ goals a season at this level consistently but like any number 9 he tends to go through dry patches. Baldock is far too good for this level when fit and last year we were unplayable when he played alongside Taylor. A huge part of our goal scoring ability is currently out.

Defensively we've not improved on the loss of Mcnally, but we're losing games by a goal. Had we actually had any attacking threat on the pitch today we would've won and our style of play would've been completely different.
You forgot the defence a place which needed strengthening oh I forgot he went all out to get Findlay ( not sure but I think 500,000 was the price) and the result what a f*****g waste of money

He did Bodin and Joseph……oh hang on a minute he got Bodin to resign and he apparently was grinning from ear to ear having signed Joseph.
Once again KR’ s fault

I would be interested to know what @begbrokeox is referring to. However we all have to work in difficult personal circumstances. When my wife had cancer I carried on and my employers weren’t overly sympathetic despite making the appropriate noises. Obviously I really hope no one in the management team is facing a similar situation, whatever the results.

October to come: Peterborough, Pompey, Charlton, Wycombe, away to Exeter
Hopefully it wont come to this, but if he is still at the helm, cannot wait for his post match diatribe and excuses.
