That was Luis Suarez, I think you're thinking of Anton Ferdinand
Yeah, you're right. There are arseholes throught the Premier League, but Chelsea seem to have more than their fair share.

David Conn on Abramovich.

"The court proceedings referred to by the Home Office*, in that document Chris Bryant read out to such dramatic effect in the Commons two weeks ago, took place in 2012.

By 2019, after the novichok poisoning of the former Russian spy Sergei Skripal in the everyday English city of Salisbury, the government took the view: “Abramovich remains of interest to HMG [Her Majesty’s Government] due to his links to the Russian state and his public association with corrupt activity and practices … An example of this is Abramovich admitting in court proceedings that he paid for political influence.”"

* "The court judgment by Mrs Justice Gloster stated that it was Abramovich’s own case that the political lobbying activities of his former oligarch partner, Boris Berezovsky, providing him with political krysha (protection) were: “Inherently corrupt, and that likewise, the deal between the two men, whereby Mr Abramovich agreed to pay Mr Berezovsky for his krysha services, was also corrupt.”"

Poor old Berezovsky's not around any more, is he?

10 reasons to hate Chelsea. I'm sure there's many more though.

1. The way they treated Claudio Ranieri when Abrahmovic took the helm, when he was doing a perfectly good job.
2. Jose Mourinho - Prick - No explanation needed
3. Yob fans forcing referee Anders Frisk to retire with death threats - at the time he was 2nd best ref in the world behind Collina
4. Keeping John Terry on as captain despite racially abusing Patrice Evra
5. Keeping John Terry on as captain despite shagging a team-mate's missus.
6. Publicly branding Mark Clattenberg a racist just because a few decisions in a match didn't go their way. If he's made racist comments, it should reported to the FA, not the kangaroo court that is the tabloids.
7. Diego Costa - See point 2
8. Cashley Cole tapping up incident
9. Treatment of their physio Eva Carniero by Mourinho (who else), and the club's failure to deal with it properly.
10. Chanting Abrahmovic's name rather than observing a minute's applause for the victims of Ukraine.
Ken Bates making a joke of saying no when we were in the **** and asked if he would donate their share of gate receipts to help the club.

At least Bournemouth won't be punished there russian owner is a UK citizen and isn't a Russian oligarch apparently

Yep he’s a U.K. citizen but a multi billionaire and smacks in the face of sanctioning rich Russians .

they have a bunch of wannabe Danny Dyers from Reading who think they're pwopper nawty who cant make their mind up whether they are chelsea or reading 'supporters'

They definitely arent pwopper nawty ... as several Oxford V Reading games in the 80s proved ....
the speed with which they run away should qualify them as scummers!

Yep they moved like S**t off a shovel.

Honestly, I don't have any particular hatred for Chelsea.

But I don't have any sympathy for them either. You dance with the devil, there's always the chance that you're going to get burned.

For 19 years, they've operated without ever balancing their books; their costs have always exceeded their revenues by about 80 million of Abrahamovich's cash per year.
Well, now they not only don't have his cash, they don't have any revenues either. I wonder how much cash they have in the bank? Because reportedly their wage bill is 28m a month, so I imagine pretty soon (if they can't find an acceptable way of executing a sale of the club) they'll either have to get a big loan from the Premier League just to pay their players, or they'll have to enter administration.

Would the Premier League then have the balls to dock them points? They ought to. It's not Chelsea's fault that the UK government has sanctioned their owner, but it is their fault that they hitched their wagons to him in the first place.

No it’s not, but Abramovich’s association with Putin and the fact Abramovich is looking after some of Putins money and the Russians have acted illegally them sanctions have to be enforced and if it means sanctioning Abramovich and seizing his assets then so be it.
Not it’s not the football clubs fault but it’s not the governments either they’ve just done what other governments in Europe have done and what ever party was in power would’ve done.

Newcastle -

Chelsea -
Won`t be buying much diesel for the team bus...... as part of their "licence".
"The allowable away costs of travel, however, remain at £20,000 per game."

Yeah but you heard the Newcastle fans, they got rid of the 'slave trader' so massive human rights abuses and civilian deaths in Yemen don't really matter!!!
