Read what you wrote. Then read my post. If you still think we're in agreement, there's no point discussing it further.Mmmm your agreeing with me,
But I'm negative

Maybe they could build a shingle surface overflow carpark behind it?Park & ride at Oxford parkway,
Would have to be extended .not big enough for shopper's, day tripper's & footy fans aswell.
Bicester North, Bicester Village is a 15 minute walk maximum and also there is a shuttle bus from the station to Bicester Village as well. Travel links to the new site from Bicester & surrounding Villages would be incredible, 10It’s about a 15 minute walking from one station to the other. But the walk does take you past the front door of 7 pubs. Some of which really are worth visiting these days. So allow a good hour
I know that,We are also now in a completely different era with a completely different set of rules and the wealthyist owners we have ever had plus the carbon free bit.
I know that,
It's the Oxford greenbelt negative not me.
That's why similar sized towns years ago.
Swindon, reading, nothhampton has dwarfed Oxford is because of negative nimbys, councilors, etc why our growth is where it's at.youve got to get past them. They won't make it Easy
Watching oufc since 1967 didn't miss many matches home &away for years &yearsI see we’ve got a new rapid-fire Troll for the thread already. SN postcode perchance?
I think I speak for everyone when I say all Oxford's problems could be solved by being more like Swindon, Reading and Northampton.I know that,

Oxford to MK is due to be open by spring 2024, so I might hop on to that too. Although, probably more expensive to pay for parking at MK and return train fare than the cost of fuel (18 mile shorter round trip than currently) and finding a free parking spot within walking distance of SB. Also, much more hassle... and still wouldn't be able to drink much due to having to get in the car back at MK.By then new East West rail link should be opened so my son can jump on at MK, I’ll jump on board at new Winslow station to join him them straight to Parkway for several beers before game. Makes all the road closures, collapsing bridges, pot holes, dodge the tipper trucks, etc all worth it! (Unlike HS2 crapiness). [emoji481] [emoji481]

So you didn't agree on some of what I said. Anyhow your talking if &butsRead what you wrote. Then read my post. If you still think we're in agreement, there's no point discussing it further.
Not sure people are moaning really. Just observing that however green you want to be, there are some of us (non-locals plus away fans) for whom public transport isn't a realistic option so *some* provision has to be (and undoubtedly will be) made.Everyone moaning about lack of parking at the site have you forgot what the Manor was like? I would hope the match day experience will be better so I could get to ground for 12 and have plenty to do to fill the time , that would solve half the traffic problems if everyone wasnt trying to get there for 2.50pm.
Yup. New and improved facilities supported by local sports clubs and associations, relocation of professional sports teams opening up development potential at their previous “homes” which would benefit councils desperate for development opportunities, many new jobs to benefit the local economy and a plethora of transport links and travel hubs already on the doorstep. There is a lot going for it and I suspect that given how long this has been going on already in the background, the people who matter have already indicated that they’re going to back this. The people the club has working on it all aren’t going to waste their time on a coin flip, let alone millions of their own money supporting the club in the meantime. They didn’t get rich that way, and they haven’t stayed rich by chasing duffers. It’s happening for a reason.I know it's usual to concentrate on the people who may be against this proposal, but it's also worth pointing out people outside of OUFC who will be in favour...
You've got both Kidlington Cricket Club and Gosford All Blacks supporting the project as they've both been promised upgraded facilities. Ice Hockey stadium with perhaps Oxford City Stars relocating? Local pubs booming on matchdays and overall massive investment into the area can only be a good thing for jobs and the local economy.
Clueless!!! We're stuck as a university town, that councilors bow down to every one of there demands.I think I speak for everyone when I say all Oxford's problems could be solved by being more like Swindon, Reading and Northampton.
18,000 was the figure I arrived at Mark, based on very extensive research of similar clubs who had moved to new stadiums. When CM or CB were talking about a new ground , what capacity did it need to be suitable for Championshop standard attendances ? Was it 18 or 24k?
Or was I thinking Kassam + west stand = 18k, then either north stand more seats and fill in the corners = 24k.
Ok it’s a long way down the line and the current footprint map is presumably just indicative and not set in stone.
