Away Match Day Thread 13/11/2021 L1: Ipswich Town v OUFC

Can I just say I know it’s only a minor detail but for all those saying about when Ipswich play Wycombe the fans will hate it I actually think the fans were probably quite happy considering they won 1-4 at adams park 😂😂💛

Cracking game for a 0-0 I thought.
Missed the last 15 minutes due to prior arrangements.
Happy with a point and thoroughly deserved.

Amazing how we are such a cheating team - how many others have called us that?
I like Mr Pink's complete ignorance of the continual cynical fouls and pushes from their side and not mentioning the fact that Morsy should have been sent off. But like he said, the referee was spineless.

Could only watch the 10min iFollow highlights, which seemed quite Ipswich dominated despite the even stats + xG?

Sounds like a good result, exactly the type of game I'd want Gorrin in the middle for so a good start to life without him.

Brilliant save from Eastwood to tip onto the post in 1st half.

These were the comments made by an Ipswich friend I have known for over thirty years. We shaded the first half although we hit the post and should have scored.
Oxford are a good team that play football and are solid at the back. Quite physical.
Poor gamesmanship at the end that was unnecessary and spoilt a good game. Did anybody who attended the game form the same opinion?
When I accompanied him to the 1-0 win a couple of seasons ago, he was very balanced in his view and said we deserved the victory.
I did hear the cry of boring boring Oxford on the radio commentary. I got the impression that we were seeing out a point with a few minutes left. Obviously players tired and a draw seemed fair at the end.
Certainly would have been horrible to concede at the end. It does appear that Ipswich are on the U.K. and might well have a say in the promotion race

Having just seen the highlights a blatant penalty on Matty Taylor but not on Nathan Holland. Why did wuestnonly speak to Paul cook and not Karl?

A very good result.
Made all the better for them bleating.
Play like that and get results, against any of the top half away from home. And we’ll be amongst it come the end of the season

Anybody spot the error in the programme. Feature on Oxford saying we beat Arsenal in 1986 to win the League Cup. Beat QPR 3-0 ( Hebberd, Houghton,, Charles ) I was there. We beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Manor at the end of the season to stay up.
