Gavin Whyte at RWB?! Cardiff have totally screwed up a very smart signing by not playing a very good attacking winger/forward in his position.

Gav should be the highest player on the pitch and never ever at wing back

The way that modern full-backs get forward, and the fact that Forde isn't that bad defensively, means he's a decent option for the position. Obviously not perfect, but decent.

In an ideal world you'd have a back up RB and LB, but with squad limits and financial constraints this isn't always possible. So if there's a player out there, I'd be looking for one that can play as a full back on both sides. It's perhaps not a type of player in rich supply nowadays (as CBs going wide or wingers dropping to full back are more popular), but it's the type of player that could complete the defensive cover.

The issue with Forde is that hes probably the best set piece taker at the club. If he doesnt play we lose a significant goal scoring threat.

I noticed that, against Brizzle, he was taking all the corners and free kicks. Why have him take them in a practice game if he isnt going to be in the team against Cambridge?
