I once won a Gammon joint in the meat raffle at the Butchers (pub) in Headington in my formative years....I was local at the time (if not exactly a regular), but the looks I got .....sheesh![emoji23]
The pub the corner with a little patio? That was my local as well, especially when Dale Collins was doing his quiz night.

Great..

The original takeover thread turned into a classic car thread and now this one has turned into a meat raffle draw thread. Mods can we rename this thread and start another one? 🙄🙄

The threads derailed already with the amount of porkies being told.

I just feel sorry for the sore sages on here who take it upon themselves to predict the future of this takeover and stadium situation.

I'll stop the meat raffle puns now before I'm given the chop.

They could have come out and said we are building a state of the art 20,000 seater stadium in central Oxford & signing Ronaldo and GreatUncleKip would have found fault.
Off course he would as would anyone…..where the f**k in central Oxford could they for a 20,000+ ground? Now building on a site already he might moan but I’m sure he wouldn’t be alone.

Calm down, christ!! I was just pointing out whatever the club do, Kip does his best to denigrate it

I don’t actually believe we are going to sign Ronaldo and get a 20k stadium in central Oxford, although however unrealistic that is, it that would be the ideal scenario imho. An oxford city centre stadium, linked with other sporting facilities such as an ice rink and small arena that could host concerts etc, and plenty of retail opportunities. Imagine that!!

I've just had another look at the company profile for the holding company and there have been no more changes to the shareholdings since I last looked at the start of June.

So still Tiger with the largest holding of 26.59% and Bakrie and Thohir with 16.52% each.

To get to 25.5% each as mentioned in the Oxford Mail for Bakrie and Thohir would only need them to buy 18% of Tiger's holding leaving him with 9%?

Or the company issues say another £2.3M in shares to both AB and ET which would also give them control whilst diluting the other shareholders.

Thank for that @MarkG which is more likely creating/printing more shares or buying Tigers chunk? The former sounds cheaper than the latter.

@Sheik djibouti .......... I also won the meat raffle in the Butchers Arms........ it was particularly galling as they were supplied by the shop I worked in. :ROFLMAO:

Anindya Bakrie - net worth approx. $1.5bn
(Bakrie family net worth - upwards of $5.4bn)

Erick Thohir - net worth approx. $2bn.

Both are looking to take a more active role in running our club, and allow us to compete on our true stage.

Alongside Horst Geicke they have experience of funding and building incredible stadia and EVERYTHING indicates that this will be part of our immediate future.

If that doesn't get your pants at least a little moist then christ knows what will!!
All that is no doubt very encouraging for the future of the club, but once we hear the plan and a timeline that we can relate to, then I might become invested in the hype that’s been built on here so far. Relatively arid downstairs at the moment though.

I haven’t an issue with that, and before any body jumps on this statement the council don’t want football in Oxford. So it will mean moving out of the city………..kidlington UTD has already been taken how about Kidlington Athletic or Wanderers or something like that.
