Getting closer olIt's the extra quality that is also key, as you say with Lincoln and Blackpool. Lincoln have started in that same vein, bringing in Maguire.
He’s coming out of retirement? The last guy we had who’d taken that sort of break was Tiendalli. I’m not normally negative but that sounds crazy26. Last played in the 2018/19 season for Partick and St Johnstone (on loan) as far as I've been able to find.
Getting a little twitchy now tbh.
We need more power and strength in the side which is yet to be addressed and was identified by KR straight after our Play-off defeat which was reassuring.
McGuane is a fantastic signing and he will make a big, big difference ala a Baptiste type player.
However a new left back (x2) , centre half, physical CM, and Harrison type centre forward (to offer something different and bring Taylor into play) are key positions.
I've renewed my St and I will remain optimistic/ positive but these signings need to come into the building within the next week or so to avoid yet another slow start and us scratching around just before a ball is kicked.
Yes that would do me. But who told you what to expect??There will be 2 or 3 out of contract "trialists" heading off on the training camp and they are likely to be joined by two new signings if the deals are completed early this week. I was told to expect a left back (Robson?) announced early in the week and a centre back (Boyle?) before the City game but we know what came of these whispers in the past!!
Either way, you'd expect things to start moving this week and it was at the same stage last season where 3 or 4 signings were announced so a repeat will be good!

What has he been charged with?Lewis Page on trial at Rotherham so not with us
It's what Oxford do unfortunately. Lots of hot air and promises. Next week could be a defining week to bring in the main bulk of the squad, to give them time to gel.Getting a little twitchy now tbh.

I can't see why any manager would wait until a week or so before the season kicks off to bring in players, if they are going to be a main stay in the squad, at a time when you're scraping the barrel for what other teams didn't want.
Groundhog day!
I am amazed at these comments. It's what Oxford do unfortunately. Lots of hot air and promises. Next week could be a defining week to bring in the main bulk of the squad, to give them time to gel.

I think that the name as well as some of the comments are a wind up in reality.NEVER, ever, has a username been chosen with so little thought.
