Bookies unsurprisingly have Sunderland as favourites despite their bad form. Us and Blackpool joint second favourites and then Lincoln. Personally I think it's Blackpool's to lose and I also think Lincoln will beat Sunderland over the two legs. We're the underdogs IMO even with our form which I think is why there's a weird sense of calm coming from the forum and the club. Hopefully the relaxed attitude helps us like it has the last few weeks.
More fans = more bets placed = shorter odds to reduce any payouts.

I’ve seen a lot of confidence from their end!

Some quotes:

“...when we bossed them at their place a couple of months ago ! They didn’t have many chances then and against our defence I’d like to hope they won’t get many this time either.”

“The way they play will suit us. Just like we beat them a few weeks ago. Nothing to fear at all”

“We've just had four straight wins without conceding a single goal... we have no reason to not be confident.”

“They’re gonna need to pull off another 6-0 win after we destroy them on their campus”

“This league is very poor. Oxford just scraped in. Don’t worry.”

“This is not arrogance. This is not tangerine specs bravado. We have no one to fear in these playoffs.”

“If the away game at their place was anything to go off we should see them off.”

“Don’t worry we will beat them.”
To be fair, they didn't give us a sniff at ours.

But that was our 17th match in 57 days and both Henry and Long were out. We'll be a different proposition with a full complement of well-rested players.

I just hope their management and players are as complacent as those posters seem to be.

We still owe Blackpool for that match last season when we absolutely battered them away and lost 2-1. Didnt we have something like 30 shots on target or similar and 70% possession. That was probably the most one sided match I have seen. If we had the 3 points then we would have been in the autos lats season.

Indeed, the gulf between the teams was huge that day.

2nd lowest point of the season for me.

Club just tweeted Sam is hopeful of playing :)
Mm I dunno, I read that as, "we're hopeful he'll play... but he probably won't."

"Blackpool is a week away and that's not much time but you never know" from Karl doesn't fill me with confidence

We aren’t so overly confident as you’ve made us out to be. There are many many people on our forum who think this semi-final is going to be extremely tight and many didn’t want Oxford as opponents. Granted there are some confident people on there, all teams have their own tinted sunglasses fans but the vast majority aren’t expecting an easy game regardless of our result in March
