Ask ourselves this. When Pep departed, would you have been happy with a manager who got promoted from this league and was linked with Barnsley and Leeds?

Of course! Tiger set himself up for a fall with his "wow" comments and we suddenly got crazy names like Sven linked, but this is a really sound appointment.

Has someone hacked your account?

To replace Pep I'd have been pleased with a triumvirate of Charles Manson, Brigadier Gerard and Steve Evans, kip. The man was poison to this club.

Robinson's a good manager to get (if it happens).

In the way that Jose declared himself The Special One, it would be hilarious if KR used his presser to declare himself as The Wow One.

Out of all the names linked, randomly the only one I'm disappointed in not getting the job is Craig bellemy. Just had a feeling he was gonna do well.
Having said that I'm very confident with some financial backing, Karl Robinson will do a great job for us. If he gets it of course ;)

Paul, I’m intrigued to know the reasons behind your evident dislike of Clotet.

Most of us acknowledge he made some lousy signings in the summer, but it is not unusual for new managers to bring in players they know and trust.

Aside from that, I think he was delivering pretty much what was expected of him in terms of league position, especially when you take into consideration the turbulent summer, the high turnover of players, the fact it was his first season in management in this country.

I accept that his radio interviews were often frustrating and we had to suffer some terrible results and performances during his tenure, but I can’t see how any of this adds up to him being ‘poison’.

Of course it’s all largely irrelevant now, but, like I say, im just intrigued.

Unlike Wilder, who I dislike as a human being, I had no personal animus about Pep. The man seemed like a non-entity to me, characterless, bland and dull.

The reason I was so keen for OUFC to fire him was simply that (in my opinion) he was destroying what had been a good set of footballers that retained a decent nucleus and attitude when he arrived and was going to relegate us. I still think we would be relegated if he was manager. Tactically inept, a pathetic leader, he eradicated any passion from the players so that they played like they didn't give a f**k.

He was a disaster, Clueless Pep Clotet.

After a circuitous journey, I think this is the right appointment for OUFC. Not a massive fan of KR, but I don't need to be. We desperately need stability and new coaching voice...

Radio Oxford are expecting a new manager announcement from the club this afternoon.

God I hope so.

And it all should happen just in time for Tiger to present himself with his new manager on Sky sports coming Sunday! Now, if that is what he planned all along then, WOW! (I don't believe that for a moment!)

Which appointment is that then?
