Absolutely aghast at David Artell's interview...

"I don't blame Oxford, they don't know how many infected were on our bus".

"We could have gone ahead and played, made Oxford weaker for next week"
Condescending bullshit and staggeringly disrespectful to the many, many people who have suffered as a result of this virus.

Suggesting we don’t want to play because we might have to isolate players for next week as a result is gaslighting of the highest order. I’m shocked by this. He knows Crewe have massively fucked up and is trying to share the blame and deflect attention.

Please tell me you're paraphrasing?

Goodness me.

Slightly paraphrasing, and to be fair I must say he was speaking off the cuff. But he certainly hadn't engaged his brain before speaking, and the irresponsibility shone through.

However, what I have paraphrased has already been quoted elsewhere, so I'm not far off the mark.

Are we looking at having the stadium deep cleaned and our players in self isolation. Apparently Crewe players wandering around

They failed as a professional football club to follow guidelines and protocol. We shouldn’t have to play the fixture at another date. We should be awarded the 3 points, because of there disrespect and lack of professionalism.

I’m amazed that some people on here don’t get that.

I think Radio Oxford said

Robinson didn't want to play.

Crewe did hence they travelled to the stadium
Yep knowing they had a player who tested positive, maybe they know they could and should be fined and possibly a points deduction of the game was arranged or 3 points to us as they failed to fulfil the fixture.

Some people just want to slag off OUFC at any opportunity. Even though we are not at fault in any way.

How anyone can figure Crewe arent 100 percent to blame is beyond me.

Player has symptoms- player should isolate.
Players family have symptoms- player should isolate
Player has test- player should isolate
Player has positive test- player should isolate and all those in contact should isolate and test.

What you should NOT do is rock up at a football ground and gaslight the other team.

Its really not rocket science and Crewe have acted abysmally.

After 72 hours the virus isn’t active on surfaces so as we don’t use the ground much it’s kassams problem not ours.

Totally totally agree Kip. Well said.

Yes. Simple answer.

Even the government/health professionals have tried to define the differences between a sniffle and Covid symptoms to
try not to draw upon the Covid testing resources, but can understand if someone does and that person/their bubble should self isolate. The difference here is, this player paid for a separate test just to double check because his son was unwell, but we don’t know the severity of his symptoms which may have just been a cold.

I went to the hairdressers the other day and the Hairdresser’s son was feeling unwell that day (at school), so went home, so what should he do knowing that his son potentially has a cold? Does he close the shop down, do all his customers he had that day, the day before or 7 days before self isolate. Should his son go for a test even if he isn’t showing Covid symptoms? Should the rest of his family self isolate?

It’s not all black & white.

If a member of your family has symptoms or is waiting on a test result. You self solate. It is black and white.

Just accept Crewe messed up.
