Fa Cup Fourth Round draw

Just had a quick look. Would have to fly up on the Thursday as no Friday or Saturday flights back on Sunday £169 return.

That’s only a tenner less than the train from mine, and £15 less than from Oxford, think train companies believe they fly with those prices even though it takes 5 hours.

Can get a train from Pompey 1 change at Winchester same day return £160. Game would have to be on the Saturday though and save on hotels ?

Last time I went to watch us at Newcastle, saw the players coach coming the opposite way, driver put the radio on and heard the game had been called off due to waterlogged pitch...ended up watching Hartlepool v Fulham in the Fulham end

I remember that, don’t think I am destined to ever get to st James park

There's a circus on the town, Kevin Keegan is a clown...

Rochdale will probably do them.

Fantastic draw. I Lived in newcastle for 5 years so have a soft spot for them. Superb night out and we have every chance of causing a cupset. I would imagine there will be about 40,000 there so 400k or so gate money to us.

Of the Rochdale forum

I don't fancy either of us beating Oxford

I was on one of those coaches as well. Seem to remember we tried to get into the Darlington home game first, for some reason they wouldn’t let us in so we headed to Hartlepool match.

For the aforementioned Luton game (3rd Rd 2018) it was £10 in advance £20 on the day. Luton were League 2 then. If they beat Rochdale they might believe in the cup a bit more and tickets could be nearer £20.

Also there! Remember getting in about 20 minutes into the game when a chant of "we are Oxford, we are Oxford" goes up and both sets of players look around confused!!

Think that the replayed game was when Newcastle clinched promotion?

How many games are televised? I would guess that if it is Newcastle then we'd have a half decent chance of being picked.

Who else will be picked?

Bristol City/Shrewsbury v Liverpool
Tranmere (if they win) v Man Utd (if they win)
Man City v Fulham
Coventry (if they win) v Birmingham

Few stand out games, and we are not only a decent side to watch but would also have a half decent chance, and only 3 years since we beat Newcastle at the same stage.

I’m going to go on a limb and say there will be 35000 fans at an average ticket price of 12 quid giving us about 190k plus the 150k money for getting into this round.

This makes Karl’s Hartlepool half time team talk worth 340k or 68k a minute.

Given his normal oratory skills on the radio and touchline this is a meteoric step up in performance
