Sorry, I just don’t get the point of this type of post.
I know OUFC is “our” club, BUT GW did not belong to “our” fans.
I too would have liked him for another season, after which he would no doubt have been sold for “X”
The powers that be,sold there player for terms and a fee they deem to be acceptable.
Only time will tell if this and the other close season decisions prove to be in the true interests of “our” club.

I don’t understand why people are worried about the fee and add on’s we might of got for Gav, It doesn’t seem it had any relevance to who we signed as most of the detail had been done with these players before the Gav deal, in fact KR has stated that money will now be put aside to help purchase our own training ground, so it seems the money “they” got for Gav will have little impact on our purchasing power or cash flow, so the cash has been splashed and we wait for the final pieces of the jigsaw to be announced.

With respect - Northern Ireland aren't world beaters. Jonte Smith and Gino Van Kessel are full internationals. Are they worth more than £2.5m each?

I'm lucky enough to have access to a lot of info that most aren't. I can't put what I know on here as I'd never get told anything again. It's often bloody frustrating but all I'll say is a lot of work is being done to get some real quality in and although we don't hear from them much, the chairman and board members are very much involved.

Just looking back to my last post on here last week and some of the replies that I and Scotchegg got at the time. I haven't read them until now. I just sat on my hands until today. Laughable when you read some of the stuff being posted back then.

I’ll be surprised if anything happens now until after the weekend. I’d like to think that Robinson and his players are fully focussed on the weekend. They will travel up tomorrow and can’t really see the point of any incomings between now and Saturday. They won’t be registered so can’t play and will just disrupt our preparations.

It sounded to me like Moore is almost done and I'm sure KR said that we might be getting 2 strikers in. If that's the case the squad is defiOnitely stronger than when we finished last season. So pleased Dickie, has signed, couldn't bare another 12 months of delaying tactics.

I'm not sure that is right (seems to be some double counting

17? Really? You cannot include u23 s in outgoings but not include the likes of Allardyce, Berkoe, Sade etc in incomings

So let’s talks strikers, as that seems to be the main objective now. We all know, and so do the football club that we lack a number 9. So let’s have names that are realistic, and in our price range! How much are the board and chairman prepared to spend on one.

I still think it’s a shame we didn’t try for Christian Doidge. I know Mapps wanted him while he was here. He only moved on for 250k. I’d say that was within our price range.
