All of our players are for sale.....at the right price.

Would imagine 3 million plus add ons would secure him.

Oh...

And to cap off the bad news, the next article on that site is about Roofe potentially being sold by Leeds, meaning Oxford miss out on a bonus should Leeds be promoted next season.

Forest look set to lose there best winger in Lolley possibly to Villa for £10M+

Whyte currently worth between £2.5 & 3 Mill in the current market as he has a lot to improve on his final ball but has the ability to be a £5m+ come January if he adds a finishing touch to his game

he’s more than capable of getting 10+goals & 10+ assists next season

No that was roofe. Cod £1.6m. Johnson £2.5m. Both playing at l2. Whyte is younger than Johnson and a full international, and has 2 years on his contract . We been told we don’t need to sell, so £3m+

Pedant alert (although I believe the fees are right), Johnson was sold we were in League 1 and Roofe didn’t have any sell on fees, just a promotion bonus and I think a fee for an international call up too.

I imagine DE is putting ‘Roofe’ into Ancestry.com as we speak.

Johnson was L1 player with us

Explained that wrong I meant roofe and cod were l2. I also didn’t mention roofes extras, but ur right, no sell on fee.

The ironic thing is that CM didn’t rate Johnson (quite rightly as it turned out) of being able to step up to championship level. And I imagine the Sartori bid put a low value on him. But Eales then pulled off an amazing transfer fee and pocketed the cash via the secured transfer instalments.

For me, whether we sell Whyte or not will be a clear signal of our billionaires intentions.
Sell, and we can completely forget about a financial injection.

Not sure about that, every player at every club has a price. Doesn’t matter who the owner is. We don’t need to sell cheap (apparently) so that is an indication, but £4-5m say mean we then can spend more due to ffp as well

I think you have to look at opportunities for the players too though. Whyte has come to L1 to play English football and step up and showcase his talent.

So like Roofe took a step down to L2 for a season and a half and earned a big move.

I don’t think anyone begrudges Roofe for that move.

I suppose the question is whether the club get a “too big to turn down” offer, or need to cash in so take a low offer?

Yes. He has two years on his contract. Offer him a vastly improved one and see where it goes. Gav's intentions would soon become clear!!

Let’s hope we don’t have another COD moment where he’s forces a move or goes on sick,

But definitely agree on a new contract for him along with Brannagan & Dickie so we get our true value of money for them

I think the real test will come when we see how much of any fee gets reinvested in other players.

Well considering tiger hasn’t taken in any fees yet, but spent out on branagan, dickie, whyte, sykes and a transfer record on hanson, I’m guessing he wouldn’t be that against reinvesting

But only ridiculous figure would the club start talking according to what Tiger said and he said no one is for sale unless a ridiculous figure and 3 million is not a ridiculous figure.
