Atleast Winnall was proven at this level and didn't sign on a loan. I know it hasn't quite worked out yet but the more he plays the more effective he is becoming.

There was a point late on in the game yesterday when Sam Winnall was clearly berating himself for not getting on to a ball.
The frustration for us is annoying but you can see that he isn’t satisfied either.
That makes me believe that he will come through this.
We will hopefully be the beneficiaries of it as I think everything will change once he has scored.
Again, I hear loud words of ‘win-f**k-all’ amongst our fans.

When he was at Barnsley, SW was immense and, While I don’t see him quite hitting those heights for us, he still could kick-ass in this division.

I listened to Robinson after the game and you could feel the energy and the pride he takes in in what he is doing and what he thinks this signing will mean for the club; knock him if it doesnt work out but I can’t knock the man’s enthusiasm for what he’s doing and trying to do for our club.

That’s was my immediate reaction it’s a bit OTT for a loan which made me think it must be a lot permanent move.

I had to dig through the pre-match to find this interview, and I think you are overstating Karl's excitement. He also mentioned that the player 'is very good at this level', which indicates prior experience of L1 football.

On the Robinson barometer of excitement, his reaction was definitely up there!

chatted to a Barnsley supporting mate about this last night As I was curious of the same.
his take was that HK isn’t getting in the team, 4th choice for his position and they are raving about Josh Benson who they have on loan from Burnley.
he also said he has no pace, but great passer of the ball and hasn’t been given much of a chance at Barnsley so sure they haven’t seen the best of him. He hadn’t heard a rumour he was leaving but said wouldn’t be surprised if they farmed him out on loan.

I saw that, and I felt for the guy, he looked genuinely frustrated, and who can blame him, he's got the ability, but his body keeps letting him down, so he can't get himself up to the levels of fitness and sharpness that's required, and every time he starts making a bit of progress, he breaks down again.

But I don't think there's any hate towards him at all, just similar frustration

You missed several pages on how Dan is the messiah / s**t, Sykes is rubbish, Henry is finished, and Clare would have been the guy to complete our midfield.

in fairness though we was able to label Obika and Mackie at lot sooner than the time in which Winnall has been here.
