Summer 2020 Cricket Thread

The shot from Mark Wood when he got out kind of summed up England's approach. An 'eh' moment.

It's safe to say Joe Denly is not a test match player and Stuart Broad is ticking at the moment about not playing. Thursday could get tasty.

But the West Indies deserved to win. The better team over the 5 days

Shannon Gabriel's opening over took me back to my club cricket days. Some balls were terrible, run up went.

Expect at that level we weren't paid to do it :ROFLMAO:

A fine bowler though...

Stokes and Sibley hanging in there, but not an exciting session. Looks like Shannon Gabriel has a hamstring injury which could be a bit of a bonus...

Feels like England are trying to escape the day with as many wickets in hand as possible

Nice morning so far, Sibley got his ton and Stokes on the verge of it. We have to capitalise on their hard work as the Windies bowlers are looking tired now

300 up now, West Indies with 2 bowlers off injured. Time to get a wriggle on now. Lots of firepower still in the pavilion.

250 partnership up. Looks like Stokes wants to cash in now and has his 150

Gabriel has bowled some utter rubbish today. Even Village Green cricketers would be embarassed

WIndies 227-4 (40 or so behind the follow on atm) ... new ball after tea?

Broad has gone from 0-64 to 3-65, no better bowler in these situations. Was terrific in last year's Ashes and very unlucky to miss out in the first game. Fortunately he's the kind of guy that uses that as extra motivation to drive him on.

Well the Buttler-Stokes experiment failed...
