Summer 2020 Cricket Thread

England are penned in a being restricted by Pakistans bowlers... cant seem to buy a run
 
Root went for 14 ! .... Buttler been rubbish with the gloves , needs to redeem himself with the bat!
 
92-4 is a bit crap .... but thats Englands batsmen today ( in an hour or so) to be fair Pakistan's bowlers have been on good form

need our middle order to show the top order how its done tomorrow
 
Good bowling last night from Pakistan, but England's batting.... Not good apart from Pope who looked like he was batting on another pitch. Big morning for England, they need to get closer to the Pakistan score
 
Hopefully they can get past the follow on total and at least make Pakistan have to make some decisions.
 
slow n steady start from England which it should've been yesterday!

, Pope has got his 50 , England pass 100 (total)

in this heat it may be a bit more sedate today- Pakistan bowlers still looking in decent form

Why are both batsmen playing at Naseem, just leave it alone as he is always a fair bit outside the off stump?

Buttler especially needs to stay focused that its a test match, not a odi and not a t20.... wafting his bat un-neccessarily far too often for my liking
 
Woakes head must be ringing after that delivery ... you're supposed to duck, not try to head a bouncer!

We're there now, but still a lot of batting to do.

Pope looks an excellent player - the anti James Vince. He looks like Tarzan and plays like him :LOL:
 
Buttler gone for an unimpressive 38 .... hes been crap with the gloves, crap with the bat in this test (so far) - a test batsman he is not !

He batted the circumstances well, for me. But is very replaceable in the team

Disagree on Buttler. He battled well in this innings under immense pressure considering how those above him failed . As for his keeping, it wasn't good in the Pakistan innings but he was excellent against the Windies.
