Look very kind to us and some very tricky games for the teams occupying the positions at the top end of the table - quite interesting -

Bolton (3rd) v Derby (8th) - a nice draw (This has 2-2 or 3-3 written all over it as both teams can not defend for a toffee)
Bristol Rovers v Lincoln (4th) - home win (Rovers to snatch an ugly 1-0 win against the run of play)
Burton v Exeter (2nd) - draw (Burton have picked up a bit)
Oxford Utd (1st) v Port Vale (6th) - home win (With so many match winners wearing a yellow shirt we will be to strong for this Vale side)
L Orient v Stevenage (5th) - home win (As with Burton, Leyton Orient dominated against Cambridge last week and could back that result up)
Portsmouth (7th) v Peterborough (10th) - draw (A tight encounter and Pompey are becoming the draw specialists (3 draws from 5 games)
Cambridge (9th) host Reading on Monday. - who cares

We could be 4 points clear the top of the league at 5pm on Saturday IF we can continue this amazing run we are on...!

Anyone else see similarities to when we lost that dismal game to Swindon at home then went on a 9 match winning streak a couple of seasons ago.
Similarities to that dismal, lack lustre performance and a defeat at Cambridge on day one of this season (when expectations were so high) and now 4 wins out of 4, we couldn’t could we.

Anyway, feet firmly on the ground as always and not looking too far ahead of ourselves (NOT) - Every point matters.......!

COME ON YOU YELLOWS

What League 1 is showing this season is that it is very difficult to predict anything. Port Vale had 7 put past them on the opening day but have then beat Reading and Charlton and drew against Blackpool, 3 decent results.

Exeter have looked pretty good, as have Lincoln. Stevenage have dropped points in the last 2 games but are still enjoying a newly promoted bounce. Derby, Barnsley, Peterborough, Portsmouth, Charlton - all look decent sides that will be higher than where they currently are come May.

On paper, our next 5 games are against teams who are currently 6th, 4th, 23rd, 2nd, and 5th. September could be a very tough month but could also be one where we find ourselves in a very very good position by the end of it.

But even I would suggesting taking things one game at a time and not counting any chickens just yet.
