Transfer News January 2018 Transfer Window Rumours

Ffs. The best finisher at the club and only player that can carry the ball
He was never going to stay here, he said in his interview when he joined that he was going to use us to get to a club up the leagues and he's done that Blackburn will most likely be championship next season.

That's all great, but he is in the last 6 months of his contract?

Payne is the better option in that role though surely, I thought that was with a view to a permanent. And they have sack as well.

Not expected to be ready for a game for around a month which means that he'll only be available for around 10-12 games this season, sell now get the money . Or would you rather lose him in the summer for nothing?

Shame some of em don't see us ever being a championship side then

As i've said before what happens when we're in a promotion place come jan and bigger clubs come calling?
sell as that's the model and risk promotion?

We are still losing him for next to nothing with only 6 months left.

The model falls apart if you pick up these players, develop them/give them the stage to show what they can do then move them on for next to nothing/free because we haven’t worked out prior to now if a new contract will be signed.

If we knew he was using us as a step up the ladder (which is perfectly reasonable) why not add the 12months option? Why not establish with over 12 months remaining if he wishes to sign a new contract.

The players are our asset. Letting them run down contracts is not a good way of protecting that asset.

And if he did go then let’s look toward what we got for Roofe and ask for similar, and before anyone says we are losing 1.5 million ansaeon think about Blackburn owing over 100 million and they can afford to spend

Rothwell will still be 23 when his contract expires so we would get something via a tribunal surely?

This just further underlines the unrest at the club. Players not happy with clothead and his systems and tactics. How many others have doubts about staying?

This activity in Norway was reported yesterday - with the valuation of £550k not being met by Oxford - but updated today to say he turned us down..

I understand that people are wondering why Pep was allowed to bid so much money on a player.. But he was in the job and had to have full backing whilst he was there, plus others in the management team must have thought that Ryerson was a good prospect.

Peps departure seems to be about events off the field as well as the results on it.
