Ex Player James Beadle

Think it was said on here that Sam Baldocks links with Brighton played a big part in getting Beadle here so very unlikely to be much more than the chance to get him into the championship young.

If Beadle is a success at his age in the championship that puts a lot of millions on his value, if you are Brighton it’s hard to overlook that.
According to Wayne Brown he had a role in getting him. He mentioned it on one of the recent Oxford podcasts; can’t remember which but he knew either Beadle’s coach or agent.

Knew he wouldn’t stay long when he did that, the correct technique for an Oxford United goalkeeper is to put it in the stands while blaming the pitch.

You missed the Andy Woodman trademarked forlorn look of ‘what do you want me to do’ and flap of the arms towards the East Stand whenever we dare suggest there were options in other than shanking it into the stands 🤣

After he did it against Derby, there was nothing left for us to teach him.
Spot on. By that stage he was well coached - after putting the ball into touch look closely at the pitch and then pick some muds from your boots. We've taught him well.
