HMRC?

A couple of things;

1) Probably not the time to start trying to push your love of JS and Charles.
2) Even with this mess I am still glad JS and co aren't in control of the club as I don't trust them at all.
3) We had an excellent owner in Eales, unfortunately he made the club too successful, too quickly. Fan's expectations went through the roof and started to think we were a bigger club than we are.
4) We really need to get behind each other as petty point scoring isn't going to help anyone right now.

Not trying to point score, just pointing out facts, so I guess the truth hurts!

And you’d prefer to be in our current potential predicament then under Stewart’s and Sartori stewardship, well I guess that says it all really.

Darryl was good for two (ish) years, but after that he looked to get out and maximise his return (his choice) whilst at the same time it seems like he sold us down the river.

Let’s all just hope we can come out the other side all still intact.

Even if it’s announced in the next couple of days that the debt has been paid - I hope more than expect that to be the case - it still won’t remove the deep concerns I now have for the longer term future of the football club. Unless what is going on at the moment is fully explained, I won’t have any confidence in Tiger and his board going forward unfortunately, even though I’ve really tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. How many other supporters feel the same way? This is all extremely damaging for the owner/s

Totally agree, they need a bloody good explanation and an apology for worrying fans!

No I am not,I am fully aware of the situation and taking a break from this forum to see what happens which will please some people. Goodbye.
What’s your background just out of interest. You speak with quite a bit of confidence but I can’t say I’ve worked out your expertise and specialism just yet, hope it’s something that perhaps will give us useful insight in. The coming months ....

Interesting days ahead, just a thought though, would it be that horrific to reform and get that monkey off our back???

Not sure if this is staying the obvious

Or sounds entitled.

But if a guy worth billions on our board won’t pay off a 2-300k tax bill then he can f**k right off

All very well but if Tiger does hold his hands up and admits that he doesn’t actually have the funds to carry on with this project. Where does that leave the club?!

It’s not a club. It’s a project.

Correct. If Tiger does that, the next step would be administration. If the administrators then can’t find a buyer, then liquidation would follow.

I doubt very much that, were we to go into administration, a suitable buyer could not be found, but we can’t afford to be complacent about it.

I don’t think anyone is complacent. But what can we actually do?

If the situation really is as dire as it’s now seeming then worst case yes, best case potentially a points deduction and near certain relegation to League Two, but with a chance of having a functioning club with EFL status at the end of it. The point still stands that we as fans should want to know what’s happening, not just keep throwing the red letters in the bin without opening them. Ignoring it is how we make the outcome as difficult and damaging as possible.

You had a red letter? Now I’m really pissed off.

Feeling under a bit of pressure eh? Despite all your attempts to downplay the issues, the brown sticky stuff has hit the twirly thing. Even OxVox have gone to DefCon1.

Fingers crossed you live up to your word and do remove yourself from this thread. Complacency like yours at this time could kill our club.

Myles, much as I love your stuff on here, but what’s this “complacency”? You expecting marches down the High?

He’s from Banbury. Give a guy a break.

Well, let’s see what today brings. Tigers next move - and the timing of it - is critical, for him, as well as the club.

Jerome Sale has reported on the 6:30 sports bulletin that the club has again declined to comment on the questions put to it.

Wtf is going on?!

In fairness, that will depend on when the decline from the club was. I’d imagine, it’s just repeating what we were already aware of. Hopefully today brings some fresh news from the club.

JS said the club refused to comment as of 9:30 last night.

For me, the only logical explanation is that we’re in the midst of another takeover. The alternative is pretty unthinkable - an incompetent owner who has total disregard for the clubs fan base...

During a takeover, you still need to clear your liabilities on time. Especially those to HMRC.

But yeah, one has to hope that there are currently significant happenings taking place in the background. Because if this is the new normal, the future looks bleak.

It’s the whole “Everything will work out in the end” attitude; people suggesting that the winding up petition was no big deal; the attempts to shut down any questioning of the club and its leadership; etc etc

I think the OxVox letter to Tiger and subsequent email to members is absolutely spot on. But we’ve had to get to this point before there is any robust, public challenge. There’s also the issue of how the organisation allowed the takeover to go through apparently unchallenged despite the significant red flags. But that’s a discussion for another day - the here and now and the club’s survival is absolutely on the line.

If the club is refusing to comment then this really could turn ugly, especially between the board and the fans.
I would add though that they were always going to make 'no comment' given it was late on a Sunday and I'd imagine they would of wanted to get together to produce a proper statement.

What ever they are doing, it's a very dangerous game they are playing.
