No way would I be as emphatic as that in dismissing the merits of Sharp.

He's got goals everywhere he's been, seems a great team player and has a fair few promotions to his name. Could be a really good character to have in for 6 months, he doesn't seem the sort to mope and moan. A good personality and got a bit of attitude about him too, we could perhaps do better but we could do one hell of a lot worse too.

For a start he's 37.

So what ? Sheringham was 41 and still scoring in the PL. Sharp isn't a Jamie Mackie or Dave Kitson - he knows his way to goal. 6 month deal, 20 games he's guaranteed to find the net 10 times minimum in L1.
