Can’t honestly say I remember a standout player in that Northampton side last season but Leonard must have something about him. Broadly speaking nothing that comes out of Brighton these days is bad.

Surely now we're Championship,
Chopper landing for Sir Les?
Matt Tubbs on loan?
Matthew Barnes-Homer - is he now back at Kidderminster?
Adrian Viveash deal completed?
We can finally get Richard Brodie in and play him up top with Beano.

And as we never let Midson go, we’ll have three prolific striking options.

Loan Harris out to Oxford City.

I love the way we get promoted in 2024 and peoples first thought is to put the team from 2016 back together.
As we need a couple of keepers I'd get Slocombe and Buchel back to battle over the gloves.

Saying that I'd absolutely have Lunny back. Only 30, no injury concerns I'm aware of as he's played regularly for years. Been promoted from this level, played Premier League and European football since and was in the SPL team of the year last season. Going back to players like him isn't an issue but we can do better than most we've had over the last few years.

I would have Lundstram back, not going to happen though.

It’s more that most of our fanbase don’t know enough about football to know who we will sign or who we should sign, I am very much in this group, which is fair enough as we have other stuff to do, but then just suggest previous players and are disappointing when we miss out on players we were never in for anyway.

There is a large pool of players for us to sign from, I like it when we get players we have never heard of, that’s the whole point of our scouting and recruiting department.

Certain players feel timeless for how they once played for us and the familiarity of them carries a different excitement sometimes - depending on what stage of their career they’ve arrived at when they return. We’ll need some known quantities this year.

Head over heart is important but don’t expect that from me if we get Baptiste back!! What’s a few injuries between friends 😂

Do they need to be known quantities to us, the fans? Don’t we already have a lot of known quantities in the current squad?

We all like a returning hero but some on here would have the squad made up entirely of ex players, which considering we haven’t played in the second tier for 25 years is going some.
