Dont get how they can complain. Ref clearly says no pen. We take goal kick and go on and score. So what was the ref playing at? You cant go back and re-evaluate earlier decisions?

My man of the match was mackie. Came on fired up the other players. You could see him clapping our other players shots to keep them poisitive then scored a beauty with i think his only chance which was by no means easy.

Oh s**t apparently there can’t be any players in the penalty area when a goal kick is taken, or it has to be retaken, and there were still some in the box when our goal kick was taken. So it should have been retaken, and the goal disallowed. Jesus.

thank god for that. should've scored a few today but at least we got the 3 points. no idea what all that was about at the end but Robinson would've exploded if the ref disallowed the goal and gave them a penalty.
how is Payne not starting in that team? they looked awful and can see why they're now bottom of the table

How can he allow the game to go on though and only discuss a potential penalty after we’ve scored... awful refereeing.

Great result. Should’ve been by a lot more. The pressure of where we are contributed to the wayward shooting but we got the 3 points and that’s all that matters. God knows what the referee was playing at, I think he was just pissed off with Robinson complaining about the refereeing standards to the FA and wanted to give him a coronary.

Hopefully there’ll be a little bit less pressure at Coventry next week and we can get another positive result. We still owe them something after Wembley.

Well done to players, staff ( yep, including Robinson - whatever we think about him he always manages to dig a result out when he’s up against it) but mostly well done to the supporters- magnificent

It's about law 16 which says that opponents have to be outside the area when a goal kick is taken. It seems to be about stopping encroachment rather than opponents not leaving the area in time but that's not specifically stated. Contentious. One for the lawyers!
