Can't say the same for the legs:

Presumably AI has generated those legs based on some of our signings over the last 5 years.

He'd be the best ladder climber in the league, so long as we can build that right quad up to match the left one.
He'd have a better chance at being the best ladder climber in the league if he climbed up the outside of the stepladder, not up the inside of it. And if he fixed that missing step as well.

Good points.

Probably explains why his legs and hands look knackered.

I think the club are missing a trick by not having the hospital sell tickets and merch. It would be great walking up the alleyway towards where the LRT used to be, and buying tickets from a small kiosk in an old hut.

Given our ageing fan base perhaps we could kill two birds and do ops at the same time, ticket for Northampton at home, pair of club shorts and a new hip.

Is it not half term down South? Lots of families will be doing other stuff and at £70 for 2 adults and 1 junior its not much in the way of VFM.

Been there lots of times so very few "new grounders".

Its not a derby or barely a local rivalry against a non-entity of a club.

Middle of nowhere on an industrial estate.

And ........... the White Horse is shut with no titties. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
And we are in a recession.
All Gordon Brown's fault, eh EY.

You’re Karl Robinson so I claim my £10😉

Snurrf. On the grass....... pashun, 24 hours a day. Snurggle [give shifty look at floor] .... we're working on it... you know. This lad [shifty look at the wall] Play for England one day. Little niggles weeelllll [scratches nose] on the grass..... pashun ..... Great people great warmth here in [glances at the door]... ManchSalford... yes snurrrrgh I always say..... this is my agent, he'll sort you
....yes, thanks Satan.

I'm not sure that Matete and McGuane worked on Tuesday.....they're both too inclined to hold and play the safe, simple ball.
If Wycombe were still Ainsworth-style bruisers and cheaters, maybe, but from most reports they seem to actually try and play football now.

I think you rest McGuane, play Matete alongside Brannagan and get RR back in the side, in front of them in the hole.

Also very much doubt that we're going to see Goodwin start (though hopefully he's on the bench this time). So Harris back up front and then Burey on the right.

Agree, I think the midfield three should be Matete, Cam and Rúben....I think Harris will start up top and Goodwin will come on, I think Dale will start on the bench, Murphy and Burey to start, and really push them back in their own half.
The back four will be given another chance to gel more and try and keep that elusive clean sheet tho I might give Negru a game if he's fit (I doubt Moore or Brown would be dropped!) And Cumming in goal.

Goodrham, Goodwin, Dale, Bodin, McGuane all available to come on and make a difference. That's a good bench to choose from. Also Leigh could push on wide and Bennett play behind him.....Stevens finding himself a bit out of favour atm? Henry and McEachran out on the fringes too. Smyth may be on the bench for his versatility?
Suddenly we have serious and viable options! COYY's!!

Has Henry got another year?
I don't think we'll see much of him if the first voices stay fit and on form, maybe time to help him find a new club if he wants to continue.

Back to Saturday, cannot stand Wycombe, the parking, the fact we usually play s**t there, the fans, everything about the place, so it's no surprise I'm giving it a miss.

This is great, first time in ages that different posters have a different idea on who should play. It's almost like we finally have........options!

Another trip to Wycombe. Presumably another day where the stewards are awful, we spend the entire game being goaded, taunted and derided by their fans, players, management…and the day ends with their dross fanbase chanting ‘Oxford United, it’s happened again’ and MacCleary grins and makes gestures at us after every corner.

Wouldn’t it be nice if it was different this time! 💛💙

I'd be quite happy with Harris out wide and getting up to support Goodwin but I think they'll still manage Goodwin's minutes carefully, and Harris has such a good ethic and work rate that he has earned the spot as a starter. Murphy did make an impact so I hope he's given another chance, and Burey didn't even get on vs Wigan(?) so he'll be raring to go.

If he has one central defender (Thorniley or Negru) and one full back (Bennett or Stevens on the bench) along with Easty then there are only four other spots to fill....
....so one of Goodrham, Goodwin, Dale, Bodin, McGuane will miss out....unless he doesn't put one of the defenders on the bench as Long can cover or Brown can go wide....suddenly the squad looks as strong as it has been for ages and that's without Browne and Edwards in the picture!

Cummings

Long Moore Brown Leigh

Matete

Smyth Brannagan

Burey Harris Murphy

We need physicality to counter Wycombe's bully boy tactics.
Hence the inclusion of Smyth.
He could of slotted in at RB, but is going to be more useful in the middle.
We need Negru, Bennett and Goodwin on the bench ready to use their physicality.
We won't beat them playing pretty football, we need to match them and hopefully the long awaited victory will happen.

Was thinking this myself, especially the bit, whereby, their fans are singing ‘Oxford Utd, it’s happened again’!!

Let’s just hope the team turn up this time and give a good account of themselves, and like to say ‘wouldn’t it be nice if was different this time e.g. we get a win🤞
