I do like Tyler but don't think he's irreplaceable for a decent fee and a MASSIVE sell-on clause. Mind you, with our injury record so far this season we'd need to move fast to make sure we're not short until the likes of Browne, Murphy, Bodin and Edwards are fit.

Imagine the meltdown if he went to brizzle, better be rubbish, Tyler is the future of the club.
The money we’ll get for him should play a big part in the future of the club, but would be a surprise if he was still with us next season. We’d have to get promoted, and even then likely he’d go.

I think the theory that any announcements of already done deals are being deliberately delayed until tomorrow is a reasonable one. Builds excitement on deadline day.
Also allows more time for those elusive dominoes to fall nicely into place.

We have to remember that Tyler said during the club video after his contract extension that he was ambitious about playing in the PL one day. I don't think we have anything to worry about tomorrow but I'd be amazed if he didn't leave in the summer to test himself in the Championship. We've tied him into a long contract which means that we have a stronger hand in any negotiations, but I think that a couple of million and a big sell on percentage would be the most likely outcome.

We could in theory have delayed Goodwin's announcement till tomorrow. This would have avoided the disappointment of him being unavailable for (initially) four games instead of just the one, and we'd potentially have announced two strikers on the same day. Whether that could have been done in practice without anyone knowing, I'm not sure, and Cheltenham would have had to play ball too.

You'd think Tyler's value would only go up in the next half season. Then again maybe they assumed that with Jack Stevens too ...
