It's all very odd. The Goodwin transfer information should come from Cheltenham first as he's their player, not that overly bothered if we sign him, it seems we've been blindfolded of his actual value because we've been competing with Charlton for a player that isn't really worth 400k and all the trimmings.
Ffs he’s not even played yet and already saying he’s not worth the money. Won’t be saying that if he scores 15 before the end of the season and we get promoted. It’s a process and he’s one they want. Get behind the lad.

Will find out one way or another tomorrow
He has signed. Formalities to do & he will be announced. (Probably tomorrow now) medical would probably see him have to go to a hospital for checks or something similar so could have been held up by that.

Pretty P**s poor return, two and half year contract, that equates to 37.5 goals over this period! That’s over £10k per goal - or 200 reasonably good bottles of burgundy! 400 if you’re a cheapskate! I know where my money would be going!

Hang on, what I'm saying is his price has been inflated due to a bidding war with charlton, is he a decent player? Yes. Is he worth 400k? who knows.

Des mentions about having fresh faces in the building but stopped short of saying any more in the Northampton pre match interview.

Just because the negotiations play out in public, it doesn't mean the actual details, signing of contract, medical etc. get done any quicker.
I wish people would appreciate the amount of effort, back and forth, travel and negotiation involved in these things, yet alone lining up announcements with Cheltenham. They may well be working on their own signing, and want to announce very close to confirming Goodwin has left them.

You don't announce anything until confirmation is received from the FA, which is always slower during the window.
And these days, you have to add in the production and editing of photos/video montages/posing in merchandise etc.

All sorted before the deadline to play at the weekend is the only thing that anyone needed to worry about.
When it gets announced is pretty irrelevant.

We all know and understand that but they delays give us something to moan about (until the next "problem" arises) 😜

Maybe that journey from Cheltenham up the A40 and navigating Oxford ring Road traffic was too much and got to him like us West Oxon residents. What happened to those blissful days with ‘our inside info ITK’s ?
He was sacked.
