Marriott wanted to move in the summer. Could be a case of a player downing tools to make a point.

Goodwin's goal record isn't brilliant but I suppose it is Cheltenham. One in four there is probably one in two anywhere else, given that they didn't score a single goal for about 12 games.

Probably not easy as a 19-year old going into that freefall but he signed on Jan 27th and won their player of the month for February so a decent impact

Could have said the same last year, they were 16th on 1st January and ended up 10th at season end. Now they're 13th though.

Goodwin certainly is one that would be worth pursuing. Good goal return in a struggling side, young and is different to what we have.

I'd like to think that we hold a pretty strong hand with this transaction.

They are allegedly switching to 2 up top

Appleton quoted as wanting to change to 2 up top.

That being said, Goodwin only joined Cheltenham in Jan2023, so will have had around 20 games with May so I doubt it would be a contributing factor for him.
