Part of me hopes Charlton sign him, Kip gives it the big one about his new team and they get turned over at Burton at the weekend.

They are certainly putting their money where there mouths are this window.

There's a word for that.
It's not a very considered approach though is it? Are all the names they have apparently bid for able to play in a set system for MApp or is it more likely the case that they are offering contracts to pretty much anyone that is half decent? It would make more sense if they were in the mix for promotion and looking to strengthen but this smacks of desperation given they are looking over their shoulders at L2 potentially.
MApp will be gone by the end of the window anyway so whoever comes in after will need to get a tune out of a group of individuals rather than a team. Where have I seen that before?? 🤔

My gut feeling is they probably realise that it's not gonna happen this season but I expect them to have a good second half and build strongly to go at it next season.

The squad they are assembling is going to be competitive of that there's no doubt.

Not sure the Jordi Cruyff comparison works - not sure Savage "name" is much of a help. He is a full international at 20, received a lot of praise at FGR on loan for his ability and incredible engine/work ethic. He also had some first team action at Man Utd as a young player which at least means he was in the top talents in the academy.

Not saying he is perfect or more important than a striker signing but - would add needed depth and legs in the midfield, and potentially has significant resale value in 2-3 years. At the right price just feels a low risk high potential signing

Agreed, if we can get Savage for a good price and not too much wages, then it's the type of signing we should be making.
We would still need another midfielder and that elusive goal scorer.

Hang on, according to you they were going for it this season and would be right up there, now they are writing this one off and its all about next season?

The squad we have is competitive now. But you never give credit for that.

Yeah, I had a look at the table and think they have a little too much to do! Oops.
