Agreed. We need 6/7 players. This league is open this season and we somehow find ourself not that far off the top 2 & safely encamped in the top 6. If we don’t then it shows a real lack of ambition from the board when it’s a weak league this year and won’t be this weak again for a while.
7! That seems a lot… in which positions?

Not sure we need a RB when we have Long returning and Stevens playing regularly there. Also I get the feeling Des is a big fan of Long. Two wingers and at least one striker are the key positions to fill, assuming no hiccups with the new keeper.
I would say three wingers. Browne ain't coming back anytime soon. Such a high Octane position. As has been shown form and injuries seems to impact wingers!

Tomorrow's headline ,In Cumming!!! the lad from Blackburn then Dobra from Chesterfield ,things will be looking better 👌 Edwards hopefully playing soon .That would be 4 in .Another striker maybe an older class striker a CDM in that's 6 now we are talking let's get some business done COYY

All season long loans have a January break clause that both clubs or the player can activate, we did that, we don’t have to pay anything. The coming back for rehab is strange but I suppose Ipswich don’t want him but have to pay him so no skin of their nose as he isn’t going to play this season.
No they don't. That's factually incorrect.

There are multiple loan clauses in loan deals, however there are two main clauses that you are referring to; 'loans that cannot be terminated' (i.e. neither the parent club nor loan club can end the agreement) and 'option to recall' (the parent club can recall a player, but the loan club cannot terminate the loan). Thirdly in select albeit very rare cases the option to terminate a loan by the loan club can exist, however it's worth noting this largely doesn't happen with players who are unlikely to feature for the parent club any time soon (if ever). In fact it's so rare, it pretty much doesn't happen whatsoever and has been the case for a little while.

Most clauses in loan agreements between clubs typically favour the parent club, however there is very rarely (if ever) an option for the loan club to cancel a loan without the consent of the parent club. It very rarely happens but when it does it typically triggers some sort of payment by the loan club to the parent club to terminate the contract early.

99% of loans carry a clause which means that loans cannot be terminated by the loan club. This clause would most likely have been part of the agreement.

I work in the football industry and see these regularly. I will eat my own face, hat, scarf, slippers, wooly socks and vest if there is an option to terminate a loan without some sort of triggered payment... Unless Ipswich are a rare footballing charity case (or OUFC have been paying some sort of inflated fee to introduce a clause that enables them to terminate the loan). Basically, there a more than high probability the club are paying something to have the opportunity to end the contract prematurely.

Depends on the formation. A back three of Brown, Moore and Long, then you have Stevens and Leigh as wingbacks which probably suits their style of play. Tyler is back from injury and generally plays on the wing. What we're lacking that we had with Mills and Edwards is pace. We have some skilful players in Tyler, Ruben and Bodin but it's only really Harris who has some pace, and he really gets to use it in a threatening way.

Interesting listening to George Elek's theory on the Dub today about Godden. That would be a brilliant signing if that were a possibility. Rather Godden than Ladapo.
Not sure how realistic it is necessarily, but we were linked with him before until he signed a new deal I believe.

You and I both wish

He got more votes for MoM against Coventry than any other player.
He made a couple of good saves but he’s not the keeper we need for our style of play. He gets beat from range and his reactions aren’t what they once were. Nothing controversial in stating that. I would of given cam MOM Saturday,
