Coventry reported to have bid 2 mil for longstaff think that we can rule him out if coming here !

But while on subject of fees don’t understand why so many are not happy about the reported £500k we may have bid for Marriott if the recruitment team think he is a player that can improve us and the board are happy to pay the fee then we should support the player if and when he arrives , also if the recruitment team feel he is a better fit for us than JCH we should trust them!

Why should we just blindly trust the recruitment team and board? Of course we'd all support the player if he came, but there have been plenty of signings which have caused concern which we can now see is justified. I think £500k is too much for a 29 year old striker who has had significant injury and fitness issues. I'm not just going to ignore my own opinion in favour of nodding along.

Well I’m sure the board and recruitment team will take your concerns on board.

I agree. He's decent for this level but not the sort of player I'd feel confident about coming in and scoring the amount we need.
 
Probably putting 2+2 together and getting 6 but I wonder if Eddie Niedzwiecki will be coming in to the coaching group? Pretty sure he was at Stoke in the first team set up when Des was there and has just left Reading along with Andrew Sparkes?

Nor for that matter any announcements about Analyst ( the one who is 'here' but had to tell his current/ former employers a few days ago now) or Backroom staff/ assistant coach etc either

What is (or isn't ) going on ?

No need to tell us what's going on, just trust the board that whatever it is it's fine and we are very lucky.
